Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning all....
Been out in the garage putting a clear coat on the freshly painted kick panels.
I worked on those silly things for three days trying to get that four inch wide bottom strip to look perfect.
They look really good, but not quite what I wanted.
Wife finally reminded me these are kick panels, they are dark blue, and no one is really going to look at them that close.
Good point, I was done.

I have no idea but with you stripping the cuda….I am starting to strip the tee boned dart. Should I keep the slant 6? 7 1/4?
What year is that? Maybe on rear and leafs, Probably no interest in storing another block, but if the bolt ons (manifolds etc) are really nice don't scrap them...

Good Morning

What are these panels you speak of. (pics or it didn't happen)
Seriously - for what? are they metal? I saw you were sanding them for paint. Cant do that on my plastics or you lose the 'grain'.

Special paint for plastic interior stuff.

Well that's one three to go! Rusted to the top pin and block and the dam brake shoes went into the cylinders, doubt a hub puller would have worked.

I use either Krylon or SEM. Both work great, but the grain is molded in the plastic.
Yep sanded and filled spots in the non grain area. Trying to get the nicks, scrapes, and cuts cleaned up.

Be nothing left then! Good thing slap the hubs back on then I can roll it into the shop with the tractor picking up the rear!

Craig are those long chrome lug nuts desirable and what were the hubcaps called for them.

The 2" chrome lug nuts I paid $8 each for mine For my car went with the Deluxe Chrome Hubcaps.

On our way home. Getting close to Champaign Ill. Been playing with the Waze app. Fun to see where the cops and stalled cars are.

This year was disappointing. We may not come back next year. We also heard the contract with the track is up. The track has been selling off land. Heck who knows, it might not be here next year. Also a good chance the Farmington show will be north of Minneapolis next year.

umm, that sucks

bet that brings even more to Carlisle though.

It was a good night at the oval track, even though the wind was blowing the wrong way an I didn't get my methanol exhaust buzz from the Sprint Cars . Something new, the "new" track owner decided he wanted some "topless" Hobby Stocks on the track this month to celebrate summer. I know that division's rules say specifically "No Convertibles". Whatever, he IS the boss. I wonder if K&K Insurance knew about this variance? 20 heat races and not a yellow flag until the last heat. I bit my tongue and never mentioned it, First ya say it, Then ya do it :rofl:and the flood gates were opened :rofl:Less than half of the USAC Midgets survived their feature. The 805 was icey cold, the sky was clear enough to see Mars in the southern sky, all in all, a darn fine night. Gooood Morning.

They also pissed a lot of commercial vendors off this year from what I've heard.

that or maybe it'll go back to Indy...

Hey saw the news about the stolen plane. Wasn't that close to you??

Yes, about 3 hours to the South. Listened to some audio on some news clips, the guys saying "There's going to be some people that will be disappointed that I did this". Ya think?
