Stop in for a cup of coffee

nice, I'm off to ebay. That has uses besides the polara!

I don't know honestly. Right now, I'm only into the wiring set up for maybe 200 bucks. But there's a benefit that will pay big dividends for the dart. Part of the polara's purpose is to learn and make mistakes so I don't do them on the much more expensive and more important to get right for me dart project. The dart will involve a LOT more of a custom harness so I need to learn the basis of hotrod wiring. I figure it'll be worth it in the long run.
PM me your name and address and I'll send you a "Hot Rod Wiring book".

And....I'm Back.....

Can’t leave you guys alone for a minute...
So looking at crimpers, i looked at one on the snap on truck, a blue point. I decided not to,as it was made in china. Then i gave the rep a WTF? China?
But thinking about it now, its built to snap on spec. May pull the trigger.
Its too easy,as he’s in my driveway every 2 weeks.
What sucks is i’m pre-approved for 20 grand. Some days i tempted to go nuts, something stupid like a toolbox, then i realize it wont make me any money.

Morning appt is done, except for the new tire i have been waiting 12 days for,and an alignment.

Hey folks, got a wiring question for the crew. I’m getting ready to break-in this engine (hopefully over the weekend). Using the car as a test stand. There is no permanent wiring. I have everything wired and ready except for the alternator. So I’m guessing main lug off of alt. to battery with a fuse link. One field wire off alt (green) to regulator. The other field off of alt. to battery (switched) and blue from regulator also to the switch. And again this is just for break in. Am I even close?

So you are breaking in an ENGINE? Not a motor? :poke: You don't need to hook up the alt.

Ok wisenheimer, :poke: yes I’m breaking in my ENGINE! And I’m pretty sure i’ll want it charging. With electronic ignition, electric fuel pump, fuel injection and electric fans.

Funny, somehow I remember a long time ago in my back reading of this thread Hoppy giving someone a ration of crap for the engine/motor mistake thinking i’ll have to remember that! And by god I forgot! Thanks for setting me straight @Mopar Tim

Charging not so important.
Power for the d*mn electric fuel pump, injection, and fans. Yes! Definately want that from an alternator.
Uh what was the question again now?
