Stop in for a cup of coffee

Mom would say "it's raining pitchforks and hammer handles" and Dad would say it was a "frog strangler". Love those old sayings.

Looks like the light's on but nobody's home.

anywhere from 5 to 14 around here over a few hours last evening  lost a few sections of road and at least a couple small bridges. Had route 30 closed for a while
Damn!

I see on the news you guys out east are getting a lot of flooding.

Sometime a cone or two to alert drivers. That lasts a few weeks at best.
Local residents add sticks, that works better.

In all honesty, the potholes probably are filled by the street department. I rarely see a roller. Holes related to water and gas repairs are filled temporarily - usually by by the contractor. Temporary fill vary from steel plate, to loose gravel. Then the water department or PGW send a crew or contracts for a real patch. Sometimes those are done well - concrete, then hot asphalt rolled, and edges sealed.

Morning MOPAR hoarders....
Went to a evening car show last night 6-9pm.
Makes for a long day when you get home at 10.
Show was a little strange, trophy was a colored printed page in a plastic holder...:wtf:
Wife said she was NOT going back to that one next year.

I have decided to grind away all the previous guys filler and see what he covered up..

I saw a new to me patching procedure for concrete freeways earlier this year. US 101 nearby, guessing that concrete was placed in the late 50s early 60s. Saw out the offending pavement, remove it, doctor the sub-grade up some, and place a "pre-cast" panel of concrete in it's place. Fill the gaps at the sides of the new concrete with an epoxy and bring in the grinder/milling machine to make the transitions nice.

Just goy back. That car runs like a raped ape now neve drove in a 440 six pack car before.
