Stop in for a cup of coffee

Nothin to it. Run a tap in and use a bolt to grab it. Or knock it into pan and fish it out through drain hole.
Knocking it in might be my best option. I don't think I can get a tap into that spot

Unless you had a tap socket driver and a long extension/universal joint and run it with a ratchet.
Actually,if you take a 3/8 nut, and push it onto the tap’s square drive it will work in a socket.
May have to try different nuts-fine thread for example.

Got it. Drill bit on reverse got it

You all gonna laugh when you see the replacement dipstick, it's as shiny as the rims... only thing autozone had in stock is a chrome one

For small blocks, I use a punch from the inside to drive the tube out... You gotta remove the oil pan to do that...
Yeah was trying to avoid that. I've broke them on the stand before just never in the car.

The 318 for the Barracuda had a cracked dipstick, explains why the low mileage motor was so dirty.

My replacement oil pan for the dart is chrome. Im still not cleaning it. That block is going in with original dirt. Im getting it running before i invest time into making it pretty.

Good Morning...I step in to see what's happening and you are all talking about Dipsticks and Chris. Is there a difference?
