That floor panel is a PIA. I cant see where the spot welds are Due to the rust so have to chisel them out slowly! An the Valient panel that is supposed to be the one will need a ton of massaging to fit!
 
I wish I knew how to weld. You know they have a huge auto mechanics/body shop vo-tech school here.
I feel they miss the boat not having weekend "how to classes" showing guys like me the basics.
 
I got a gift the other day from a friend but i am not sure how I feel about it. Yet

I gave a ride to a friend and he noticed I have a radio delete plate in the car. So we were on the road a little over an hour to the next town. I was driving so I was watching the road and listening to the car.

I didn't realize I was so boring to him because I didn't have much to say and i was concentrated on the road.

So the next week I saw him and he says I have a gift for you...." I have no idea how you can drive around with no radio"

He hands me a gift covered box and says "I can help you install it, if you like"

Ummmmmkay .... not sure about that

I just depend on friends here in the real world, and you guys.
Talking to my Barracuda expert buddy yesterday about the speedo on my car.
He goes off on a tangent about the difference on how the 67 and 68 speedo is attached behind the dash, and what to look for to determine if its a repop or OEM. I just sit there listening shaking my head. A wealth of information, great friend to have.
Wife who wants to write a book has talked to him about doing a restoration book. They have them for B and E bodies, no A bodies though. She thinks he could do it with her help.

Nice....like you I don't have my car to listen to the radio. In fact radio doesn't work in either one.

You can get it real easy.

If I can weld then anyone can because i am the last person in the world who is a likely welder.

YouTube has some good videos that cover basics
