Stop in for a cup of coffee

Always fun to watch the city council meeting. There's one guy that should be president. He's a friggen' expert at everything!

@halifaxhops , Ray did you put a baggie of hops in that package?
Its been sitting at customs for 10 days...
No worries, they released it today. On its way from Missisauga Ont.

Man whatever breed of mosquitoes they have here In Florida just swarmed me and left welts the size of dimes or bigger. Guess the camp fire on the beach had attracted them

Mosquitoes?
Think i had 5 bites all summer.
Usually there are clouds of them.

Our ducks at home really took the mosquito population down this summer. I think I got bite maybe 2-3 times. But I didn't think there'd be mosquitoes near salt water. But apparently the marshes to the east of the island just breed them like crazy from what the bartender said. These things are huge.

Where’s a mosquito control technician when you need him? On the complete opposite side of the country!

Salt marsh mosquitoes are some mean critters! Daytime biters and super aggressive!

Any one ever read BREAKOUT about the Chosen campaign? Really puts life in perspective.
I want too.

My grandfather fought for the 1st ID in that war. After fighting in ww2. He'd talk about ww2 but not Korea. Was there from 51-54

Did you miss the evacuation notice????:poke:

Honesty, that's why I went to the lone bar before the island road. No evac notice. But the beaches are all closed due to red tide still so it completely has killed tourism to the area this summer. Lady said their sales are down nearly 70 percent year over year. She said normally the island is packed until November.

So i have been poking around trying to find a round clear glass coffee table top. Tried to get one cut/tempered. Body shop called the supplier. Nope dont do round glass. Doughheads.
So i have been patienly waiting.
Body shop guy calls. He was at the farm and found a round tabletop. It was his mom’s.
So it came from a friend of my mom and dads.
Glass goes on an old 14” 5 spoke mag/bias ply and that goes on my old balancer. Mancave endtable.
Its made by bada. I need an SS emblem...

If I'd known, I've got a 3 ft diameter one in the corner of the barn. Though I doubt it'd survive the shipping

Especially if you're on Gulf side which it sounds like, right now looks like you'll get less wind and rain than we will in lower half of Pennsylvania.

I think it's a time of day/temperature thing. We were at Chincoteague several years ago and right around dusk my son got bit over 40 times in like a minute.
We wouldn't let my daughter out of the room in the evening after that. She gets welts a few inches across from each bite..

I normally don't even see a welt, normally just redness and itchy. These things are brutal.

So my brother learned a lesson today apparently. Never trust what the container says is in it. He thought he was throwing diese fuel into a fire, it was gas.

Hi guys. Just a quick crawl by before I climb back into bed. The triple antibiotic combo my Doc gave me over the weekend finally got ahead of this thing. The fever broke a couple of hours ago.

Lungs are still half filled with fluid and my rib cage feels like a truck ran over it from all the coughing.

Still at home, maybe after another 24 hours with some real rest I will start to feel alive again.
