You know, Kenosha and Union Grove Dragway isn't that far from you...
I work 65+ hours a week, 6 days... i haven't done anything but work for the last 20 years.. it's basically all i am anymore.. so no drag strips for me. I have 3 within 90 mins of me actually... One just got redone.. cops did some bad **** to a guy, he sued the police and bought the drag strip with the money and rebuilt it :)

damn.. just went and read up.. been a couple of years... that dragstrip is fighting over zoning **** in the mich supreme court now :( trying to stay open after a full rebuild.... i don't get why people move near a dragstrip then complain about it being a dragstrip...

probably a lost cause if suing the police paid for it. Likely not much help locally. Agreed, move next to something that is noisy, then complain. Usually win too. Cletus MacFarland is dealing with the same right now, thankfully he has a huge YT following and money

ahhh nope.. just found their current FB page.. and all is well right now.. guy that owns it is only like 30 too... plans to keep going as long as possible, strip has been there since 1968.. their webpage doesn't work at all which is not great.. communication is key :)

I think they put containers down one side like that to help with noise, whole track repaved and the pits are all paved now, it used to be so bad in the pits that we called it the Dirtway... just sooo much dust in the summer

Good morning everyone. Just got thru the backreading. Nothing new to report, my boy is coming over tonight so that will be nice. Looks like it will be getting up near 90 starting on Sat or Sun for about a week. Yuck
Enjoy the company of your son, have not seen my youngest son in person going on 2 weeks, 41 and busy with full time job, building a 2 thousand sq ft cabin, music and bending role bars for 2022 and up Chevy trucks for dealer. Always good to see our kids

Same asshats that move next to a military installation and then complain about artillery and jet noise....

Or next to farms...

yeah, the town my store is in, my ex-boss bought his house here it's from 1820.. has been a farm since like 1840... and a historical house, he keeps chickens and people thought it was cute when they moved in.. People that are never around chickens don't realize how bad they stink when you have 300 together, turned into a big *** lawsuit and **** which he won but people just suck.

Morning all, 70deg here this morning. Dogs had a blast running around on our morning to-do list, rousted a jack rabbit and the chase was on. Coffee was perking while I was out, nice to come
back to fresh coffee.
