Well, if you want to know what's going on with the weather here, just look up station KWVHIGHV13 on weather undergroundMorning all. The coffee is done. We will dodge (no relation to mine) the storm bullet. Craig and Cheryl will get hit but they are in Hawaii correct? It will be North of Memike and John.
Don't think you would say that about the state wide power outages during a hard freeze in 21. The cold lasted 9 days with a couple of them being bitterly cold with freezing rain. Don't remember what the actual lows were. I grew up in the north east but have been here since 63 and don't remember being this cold up north. 200 people died from it and Texas Parks and Wildlife said more than 3.8m fish were killed along the coast line. North Texas sees cold weather just about every winter but south and south east Texas doesn't. There have been some pretty cold winters here from time to time but nothing like what happened in 21. It totally shut down the whole state!Every once in a while you folks out there will get a little frost on a puddle
That was nasty. Yeah, not something that most are prepared for down there for sure. My buddy in S.A. said it was crazy crazy...Don't think you would say that about the state wide power outages during a hard freeze in 21. I haven't made it to YT yet. For me that doesn't come until around 10 am. after I get the sites put back together. LOLGood morning everyone. Sipping coffee and watching YT. 5⁰ with feel of -3⁰. Winters are getting old.
That's interesting. Reading through the first couple pages there contains all the headlines of that time. I remember hearing from my neice. They lived in Tx and had a new house with frozen pipes and 2 little kids and no heat.Don't remember the lows that I had at my place but some areas saw single digit temps....anyway, here's a link to the timeline of the multiday events.

Ours is 57° today. Those mornings when the tap water is the same temp as what I keep in the fridge are so special
We had a MAC Tool convention in Dallas many years ago. The airport was open but the roads weren't. We rented a Cadillac at the airport and away we went. The guy thought we were crazy, noone was on the roads but we had fun. I don't think the car was straight the whole way to the hotel. We were all used to driving on slippery roads and Kevin was a stock car guy so he was used to steering right to go left.Don't remember the lows that I had at my place but some areas saw single digit temps....anyway, here's a link to the timeline of the multiday events.
