Awesome!! Congratulations!Hey gang.
Well, I got the car started... needs a bit of adjustment, but otherwise, turn-key and vroom. Oil pressure is a little high ??
Transmission is shifting correctly on jack stands.... couple of minor leaks to attend to, one at the cooler line and the purgatory at the thermostat housing.
Apparently I boogered up the Tach wiring... it's not working
So what is the problem with the mirror switch. I missed itI might try bigger screws to mount my outside mirror. If that plan doesn't work out I may try something like this? The button's should be flush enough. (I would hope)

I unscrewed the broken mirror (not OEM) and found 4 holes. The 2 holes I can reuse are too big for the screws provided so I will try some larger screws. . The gasket won't cover the outer holes. I might just seal them with silicone for now. Or may be a small plastic plug.So what is the problem with the mirror switch. I missed it
can hardly see the holes so not real bad.I unscrewed the broken mirror (not OEM) and found 4 holes. The 2 holes I can reuse are too big for the screws provided so I will try some larger screws. . I did order another gasket that is more like the oem gasket. It might be a shade longer. If not, $5 lost. LOLcan hardly see the holes so not real bad.
I may have saved one when I quit the tool business.J b weld the holes all of them. Sand the exposed ones. They shouldn't be thal big touch up paint them, and mount the mirror.
Do you have a rivnut tool?
I very seen guys use just about anything to J B into the hole from tooth pics to golf teescan hardly see the holes so not real bad.
Yep ya got a hole so fill it.I very seen guys use just about anything to J B into the hole from tooth pics to golf tees
The factory mirrors on those cars sucked so bad it is very very common to see later model mirrors on them. Mine has a pair of A body dart sport mirrors on itI unscrewed the broken mirror (not OEM) and found 4 holes. I’d try some of that 3M body tape, the mirror body will likely cover up that hole.I unscrewed the broken mirror (not OEM) and found 4 holes.
