Now I live in a small town and booze pickins here is hard but found this at under 30 bucks and thought what the heck might as well and is not bad but I am no tongue tasting guru by any means it smells good and goes down easy so figure it's good. lol
Always fun to try. Let us know what it's like. If it's too hrsh or burning to drink neat (straight) try a couple drops of water at a time and taste it to see how it changes. Depending what it is, you can always mix it with Coke, 7 up, or Sprite.View attachment 1715670782 So in the liquor store today getting my bottle of Black Velvet and looking for something different.

It's good straight doesn't burn going down at all and it has a great smell and a dry after taste I think. and a little burn on the tongue after.Always fun to try. Let us know what it's like. I'll bring some at Mopars in the park. I got a lot to learn Mike and still looking forward to your orange shanty.

Damn you fit right in so that makes 3 of us with bad behavior. lol
Cheers my friend.
Sounds good would like to try it. I'm still new at brewing but will learn I hope.FedEx just dropped of our next homebrew a few mins ago. It's a Pliny the Elder kit. 14.5 lbs of grain, 1lb of sugar, and 14 ounces of hops for a 5 gallon batch. I guess I know what I'm doing next weekend.
I know it's a difficult beer to get your hands on, but if you ever have a chance, give it a shot. It's a great double IPA.

Looks like a fun one. Keep us posted. I haven't done a IPA yet. Not a huge fan but a homebrew might be a different thing.FedEx just dropped of our next homebrew a few mins ago. You moved a long way away from Winnipeg that's like me and my friends and family in Washington. I like it here just fine though.Wife and I used to make wine, we made 3 or 4 batches at a time, always let them sit for a couple of months before bottling, but since we moved it has lost it's appeal. We used to get friends involved, have taste nights, and of course bottling parties, but the friends are back in Winnipeg, so the fun part is significantly reduced. Last batch didn't even make it out of the carboy, siphoned off a bottle at a time.
I'll check Northern brewers out thanks.
I think I have bought a kit or two from them as well.Look into MoreBeer.com too. They have killer deals at times. Not sure if they have a warehouse in your neck of the woods though.
No way in hell I would ever move back, I do miss some of the friends, and I know my wife does too, but I have never regretted moving. You moved a long way away from Winnipeg that's like me and my friends and family in Washington. I like it here just fine though.
