Stop in for a drink.

I just finished Mint Julep #1 and am enjoying it using Weller. About to make another.
A day late at posting but made Mint julep's for the first time. Never had them before. Pretty good but my wife liked them and that's a plus. Cheers!

I finished the report and sent it off. The client is happy.

Now out on the back deck with a cold beer in hand and enjoying the gentle warm breeze of a 78* evening and watching the pair of resident Blue birds working the big grassy area gobbling up insects.

Life is good!

Most likely know but the Mint Julep's flow with the Kentucky Derby which was Saturday. I'm sipping a Gibson now gnawing on a hunk of Swiss cheese.

When you are sorting through old boxes in the basement and find the original Super Bee emblem you replaced on the ‘68 you restored 35 years ago and hang it on the wall over your work bench in the garage...

Priceless.

When you decide to spend a little “alone time” with your wife...10 hrs to be exact.

Digging a 3’ hole in the back yard together and clawing out over 150 lbs of granite chunk rock to plant a 10’ autumn blaze maple tree that she wants to ultimately shade the deck.

This Spring “nest building” instinct of hers is going to kill me..LOL!

The pile of rocks to the right of the tree is way less than half of what we pulled out. The bigger rocks were rolled out of the way well before we finished. The biggest one weighed at least 60 lbs.

I have to give her credit though, she was right in there digging and clawing with me all day until it was done. For perspective, the block ring around the tree is 42”

So where are all you drunkin bastages at tonight. :poke::lol:
This is the quietest bar I've ever been in.

Well I for one am flying the toddy flag! Sipping this tasty little morsel this fine evening. Fred you still thinking about swinging by the shop this Friday or do I have my Fridays mixed up?

Yep I'll be there around noon I'll call you tomorrow and make sure it works for you. My cell service sucks at home and have to drive 5 miles to get reception.

Our bars are way better stocked then most of em in town anyway!
True that. I put a little Rittenhouse and a Glen Carin in my bag and off to the car cruise I went. Met up with Rick and we had a sip or two. Ya. he drinks whiskey and is a Mopar guy.

I know for a fact yours is better stocked. There is literally no end to your collection! A guy can’t find something he likes in your sampling, well I don’t know but seriously.

:rofl::rofl:

Hah, I simply drew a blank! I could not think of a witty metaphor for somebody that could not find anything they liked in your collection. I mean maybe a blind guy? But he could smell right? Then I thought well maybe an idiot, but hey even a blind squirrel finds an acorn. Then thought, well never mind you get the idea.

True story.
I was around 25 . A cousin was building a bar and wanted some rustic shelves.
I had a bunch of old roof beams so I asked how many. Oh I guess about 20 12ft beams should work. I thought nobody has a home bar that big,
.well he did.
First party, in walks an elderly woman neighbor.
Everyoneis having a good time.
My cousin asks what would you like.
She looks at all the shelves. Well there is so much to pick from. Let me have something simple to start. I'll have a slow gin fizz.
He looked around and all the color drained from him. Yep. Didnt have it.
