Stop in for a drink.

I think I will bring some Starlight to share tonight. Whiskey tasting you know. Bringing some tomatoes as well.

This afternoon :D Yummy stuff. Many years ago I tried it on a vacation up the Pacific Coast Highway.
I don't buy it often, not a real common find in the beer coolers around here.

On a recent trip to the beach bach, we stopped in a local pub for dinner one night. Had a look at the drinks on offer behind the bar.....I had a Jameson's Irish whisky, and the other two had a Gin from Spain. The bottle was the draw card....shaped like a light bulb. Since then I have scoured the net trying to find that bottle, even the distillery in Spain don't have them.....until last week.

This turned up from the UK via fleabay.....empty of course. The Gin is nothing to write home about....it's more about the bottle.

Since late 2020, I have been voted in as purchasing officer for a small group - we buy exotics from a liquor supply outlet or two.....and we share the spoils. More pics to come from the latest batches of arrivals.

Cheers! Just passing through.
I needed a photo from my phone to post on Bookface. Trying to edumacate someone there about aging, angels share, and maturation.

Trying to edumacate someone there about aging, angels share, and maturation.
  • Aging - stops once it leaves the barrel
  • Angels share - typically only happens at barrel storage stage - unless you have a loose cork, or sneaky teenagers
  • Maturation - Happens in the barrel......nothing changes once bottled, except the quantity from drinking the contents. Maturation is determined in the barrel by type of wood, type of spirit and the decreed minimum age requirements....and of course from the distillery Master Blender.

Awe.....you gotta be f**king kidding me.......I wonder if should get one of these to guzzle on........
