What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Removing stripes and stickers is a pain. So I masked off the old bird and rattle canned the hood. I'm gonna touch up around the head with a brush tomorrow. It will match the hot rod theme well. Now just to install the interior. That’s it for non Mopar in here! Done enough.

Drove 1,000 miles round trip to pick up my "New" 68. Unloaded it friday evening , wiped it down and took it for pictures saturday afternoon. What an absolute beast to drive!!!
The motor is a 451 stroker built by BUCK RACING ENGINES this thing pulls hard and has a nasty disposition!!!

Not doing nothing today, took some notes for parts and did some rear tire shopping on line.
I go in tomorrow morning for hart cath and a couple stints at 6am, time for this 64 year old plumbing to get opened up..

360 is sounding good still, lifters staying pumped up for over 4 days, I can't go without starting it at least once a week

I bought 4 new 215/70-14 Coopers and mounted them on my recently cleaned/painted rally wheels. I bought 2 Toyos for spares. 4" BC on rear and 4 1/2" on front, so I'll carry 2 spares.

Still waiting on one more trim ring and 2 41/2" center pieces.

I did 4 during during the Summer. You don't wanna know the cost per corner. Tire rim center cap & trim ring. YIKES!

I gotta get more pics:
  • finished removing the leaf springs
  • cut off the hangers and shackles
  • cut the u bolts off the perches
  • got the garage set up for sandblasting and tested and fixed the sandblast pot
  • started sandblasting the undercarriage
  • removed the shackles from the new springs (wrong ones)

I'm tired :)

Yep, I've done that. Sandblasted and primed/painted the whole underside. It's exhausting and nasty work. But we'll worth it when you see the results.

Ordered up a set of back tires (P305/50R20) for the Charger. For you guys with the modern Chargers and Challengers, what are you running?
The 275's keep breaking loose, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with my right foot.

Collecting parts for a Tuff wheel swap, also doing a power steering pump rebuild Federal pump. You might say Im going over the steering LOL!

Putting this car on a diet! Got my trunk lid and bumpers from Glasstek today. Amazing quality. Also got my front bumper brackets from Lingenfelter. Still need to order rear brackets from them once they're back in stock.

Car weighed 3043lbs before the trunk lid and bumpers/brackets. Hoping to get down to around 2970 lbs. After the Lithium battery, should be around 2950 lbs, which is the target weight.

Just cleaning it up - inside and out. Getting it ready for a long winter nap. I'm happy with it this year - got it down to 11.14 at 118 in the quarter with my wife's help. Winter project will be getting front suspension issues worked on - gotta get some caster in it or we won't go faster.

Light work. I got a date coded Polyglas from a friend to use for a spare. Restored my rim and Firestone mounted it and didn't even charge me! All new plugs in the trunk, ECS jack base decal. All buttoned up.

I just finished a set of 4. With Rallye Rims. Center caps & Trim Rings. Have you seen the cost for a new single tire? $335. Thank god I bought them last year.

Yes it's crazy! Everything is going up and not by small increments. The spare I got is date coded to my car which was cool. For a 50 year old tire it has almost no dry cracking, albeit I'd never put it on the car, for show only.

Mocked up some linkage today, I think it just might work. I’ll clean up my welds and paint it once I know it will work for sure.
