What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Wouldn't the Neutral safety not let it turn over. Not sure what was going on but it starts every time now. Neutral safety Wite is just grounded all the time. Waiting for the kit to come in the mail.

Spent a few hours doing some minor fab work to mount up a spoiler. It's a 30 dollar spoiler for a first gen Camaro. Im really happy with the finished product.

Alternator/ V.R./ battery replacement, chasing a off idle misfire .. Thinking a hiccup in the idle/ transition circuits , in the carb....

Tried to trouble shoot the 1965 AM radio for the Barracuda, no luck. 2 cores: One makes a hum when powered, one doesnt. Neither have any output to a speaker. Both have similar voltage readings all across the circuit boards...AND I have the schematic...? But I'm no ET.

Run it up the street to AER.... :)

I like that red and 'white' paint scheme! Some old Vet ET is going to look at my radios, what a nice gesture! I also put a 1" expansion plug into my slant six distributor hole to seal it up, going EDIS and bought a flaring kit to make my EFI rail connectors.

Took the 70 Swinger out on its maiden "open header" voyage around neighborhood streets with the freshly built 408 and new drivetrain today! I about blew a nut when I gave it quarter throttle and the rear tires kicked loose!

Transmission is shifting perfect, but I found out my timing was a bit off as it started pinging a bit as I got around 2700 RPM. Will adjust tomorrow, then head to the muffler shop to throw on the exhaust.

Built this thing in the garage with my own bare hands! Hell of a feeling right now guys! It's definitely Miller Time!

Today I polished the 68 notch glass trimmers for my 67 notch. That and the 67 door stainless that goes below the side glass. The last two things on my whiteboard are polish stainless and install said trim. After that, finished car.

Got the exhaust installed today.

Went with 2.5" piping, x pipe, Spintech mufflers.

Sounds awesome. Eargasm the entire time driving it.

Dyed the dash pad from the 72 valiant parts car last night. Need to drill my wiper pivots and put in the grease fittings the reinstall the linkage, paint the dash frame then I can put the dash pad in and put the dash back together

Not today, but yesterday I rebuilt the rear brake cylinders and mounted the 11" backing plates and installed the Dr diff axles in my 68 B'cuda ragtop project.

I recently bought the US Car Tool radiator core support - I started a few weeks ago with some test fitting (it's been too cold here to be out there a lot) and last night I got it about 80% mocked in. It definitely does not fit as well as I would have liked, but with a few teaks, it is going on. The factory welds that hold the curved edges up on both sides of the US Car Tool support had to be ground off because the curves did not mate closely enough with the car. I also had to deepen the U shaped openings on the front of it to allow the latch support to sit low enough. Sorry, no pics of it yet, as I have been spending the little time I have had out there working on it.

Let's hear it!

I will try to take a video today.

Well, turns out my shifter cable ended up getting too close to one of my header tubes. I even took the extra step and bought the Heat Sheath below and it was still just too hot...

I was able to source a new 5' B&M shifter cable at the nearby O'Reilly Auto Parts (nice!), so I'll be installing it tonight and routing it over to the passenger's side, down in front of the transmission and across over to the bracket as shown in the picture below posted by someone else on this site...

I will of course have the dust cover on the bottom of my bellhousing. Something about the way those teeth on the converter look scare me..
