Started tearing down the 8.8 3.73 for my son's '67 Barracuda

Today I'm finishing up filling the holes on my fenders. I debated making a thread about this, might still. Was worried I'd get my head bit off for how I'm doing it. I'm using a product called Fast Weld. If anyone works on airplanes they probably know it. It's a lot more heavy duty than regular filler. It's worked great so far.

My 68 was sitting pretty low in the rear.....not any more!
Lol...I'm sure it will settle some in time. .....even still, I like the new stance! Ok, it's a bit high....
Had to drill the front shackles to 5/8".....no big deal.
Took about 4 hours total.

Odd one out
Took my Dart out for a short drive around town, then decided to look for it's broadcast sheet instead of sitting around. Hearing from one person about how Darts from the Windsor plant had them in the top half of the rear seat, and there it was! It's in awfully good shape and wasn't touched by anything but the springs. Matches my car too!

trying to figure out my fuel delivery problem... moved the fuel pump and ran all new line....and new plugs..... doesnt want to idle in gear... worked on it today and tomroow not fun...
Had to remove the dash from Nellas car and run it through a bench test to straighten up a no lights, no Guages issue!! Got it all back in and working but the left turn indicator, which is a problem with the pin! Going to get the windshield back in today, put the trim back on, and it will be ready for Nellas first driving lesson!!!

Today: 1. More cutting and buffing, my new California Car Cover will protect it now so it is worth doing during the build. 2. Detailing and getting the ralley wheel centers, backup light bezels and all the trunk trim ready for paint and clear. 3. Finish detailing the taillight housings, buffing and clear the taillight lenzes. Thinking about putting "blue dots" in the taillight lenzes. Note: I bought a Dremmel tool for detailing and it has been a great help dealing with the pitting in the original fittings of the car.

ok so this isn't about my A-body. It is about my car ( 96 Camry ) and more about my workspace. A few longtime members may recall my posts concerning Powder Post Beetles. These insects had infested the joists overhead in my basement. I was forced to undo everything I had done to create a proper workshop down there and move all aspects of DeMonIVR into a spare room of our home. Some of that work spilled out onto our dining room table. Yep, I finally just gave up. I'm not saying the business will reopen. No decision made yet. Anyway...
While on my way home from the doctor Thursday my Camry tossed the timing belt. Late yesterday evening it was pushed into the basement. First time a car has been through the door in more than 7 years. I cant find words to express just how good it feels.

Not the best way to have to bring in a car, but it is in the basement, so that's a step in the right direction! Good luck with your project!!
My wife is going to help me unload my 8 1/4 rear end in a few minutes so I can start in on cleaning and inspect it :color: pictures soon some time tonight in my Time to get started thread (restoration thread) here :glasses7:

Hopefully I can get my motor started. Install starter, radiator hoses, fuel line in a bottle and check wiring.....
