What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I finally replaced my defective Midland Ross brake booster with a generic one that I had to adapt.
I also installed brand new master cylinder and lines.
After a good bleeding, my Demon stops properly again

In order to do my Scarebird disc brake conversion, I needed the drums and studs removed from the front hubs, and new studs pressed in. The rotors also needed the hub ID opened up a bit. I was short on time, so I had my machine shop do it. Now I am ready to start assembly tomorrow.

I'm measuring cutting and bending 48 inch 3/16 mild steel rods from Menards since I couldn't find any sanely priced stock rods for sale anywhere online for headliner bow conversion and waiting on 10 clips to install it.
6 Rods kit online over $120, 5x 3/16 steel rods at Menards $15.
Who is paying these rediculous prices?

Installed the Derale filter adapter and Moroso remote mount. Made up the Fragola Series 3000 -10 AN hoses, assembled it all and voilà! No leaks!

I got the Scarebird front disc brake kit installed today. Tomorrow I have to bleed the system.

Completed my remote filter mount project with a home brew fiberglass lined aluminum heat shield to protect the fittings and hose coming off the filter adapter. No more oil and filter being super heated by the headers:thumbsup:

I finished the disc brake conversion today. First I bench bled the master and then I had several leaks to deal with. The copper washers that came with the banjo bolts leaked like a seive. I had several sets. The others were twice as thick! The pedal seems good, and I got the brake light switch back in and adjusted to the new pedal height. I also had some new upper control arm bumpers so I replaced the old split ones. Now I just need my seats back from the upholsterer.

Drove the car 87 miles each way to the Albion Mopar show on Sunday. I experienced a weird shimmy/vibration a couple times and noticed smoke coming from the right front wheel when stopping. Had a caliper freeze up and decided to do an upgrade while I was at it. Ordered drilled and slotted rotors ,2.75" calipers , stainless steel brake hoses , Timken bearings and seals. Installed everything last night which went very smoothly. Still need to bleed the brakes and test after work today.
BTW took First place at the show in the pre 71 Modified class.
