The Ford Duraspark is actually purdy good.i sure better than any ford junk
yea hate those lug nuts ...lucky for me euro cas don't use them ,then mercedes figured they can suck tooThe newer they get (Ford's that is) the truer that is
Had to put brakes on the daily driver 12, 1/2 ton Dodge after work. Only 70k on the ones I took off.i got my use out of the old ones
..
Might have gotten another 1500 out of them and then it would have been scrape city.
Had a flat on the way home from work last week, fixed it (pulled it apart and patched it, I don't plug them) and having access to the tire machine at work helps a ton.
Finally put the repaired tire back on along with the brakes.
I've had pads under the seat for both ends for at least 6 months. Went with Bendix severe duty.
Got a deal on those from rock auto.
This morning I thought for a few minutes I wasn't leaving the driveway. Backed out about 3 feet and it acted like I hit something. Pulled forward and tried again, this time I got about 8 feet backing up and it did the same. Pulled up again, and on the 3rd try I got out of the driveway.
I found out when I pulled the L R rotor why.
One of the parking brake linings fell out.
It had been wedging itself into the front shoe when I tried to back out. I didn't have parking brake shoes on hand but I won't have that problem again. I'll have to get a set before camping season starts I guess.
I HATE HATE HATE chrome capped lug nuts.
I had 2 of them spin on me as I pulled the wheels. I went to O'Reilly's to get some and they want $12.49 EACH LUG NUT!!!! No that isn't a fat thumbs misprint. I went to AutoZone about 2 miles away and they had the same thing but they also had a card of 4 for that same amount. Real chrome, not capped. I got 2 packs for now. $3.something a nut is better than $12.49 for one. Gonna try RA when I look for those park brake shoes and hardware, maybe eBay.
yea other then pick-ups failing not that many mod troubles ...it just nice to have everything in one unitThe Ford Duraspark is actually purdy good.

The guy at Discount Tire said that there have been attempts to sue Ford over their capped lugnuts. But they haven't gone anywhere because they haven't been able to prove a safety issue...only PIA issue and that's not illegal.
Yeah, they be skinny. I originally bought all 4 wheels and tires, slightly used, as a set. I actually ran them for around 11 or 12 years while I was working on the car. I figure I got my money's worth, and probably cheated death a little as well. LOL155 80 15
Thats one skinny tire

Currently rocking these on my front runners (25.4" tall)Yeah, they be skinny. I originally bought all 4 wheels and tires, slightly used, as a set. Now, since I've added the GV Overdrive and am logging more freeway miles, I better get something a little safer.
Those look like a pretty good tire for the buck! The ones I went with have an H speed rating (130mph)Currently rocking these on my front runners (25.4" tall)

For the price those are ideal for driving around at parking lot speeds and doing some burnouts! Not sure I’d want to travel above 30mph on those tho…….Currently rocking these on my front runners (25.4" tall)

I'm satisfied with the way it turned out. I washed a ton of grime out of the gear housing with brake cleaner and air.I spent yesterday bench testing and cleaning my really nasty starter. Now debating whether to paint it or not,and if so, what color(s).

It's early Ford blue. I had it painted late Ford blue which is darker, but I thought I'd do it different this time. What color is that
Sure is Purdy....
Looks brighter than my six
Napa Mopar blue
Here is what im doing to mine. I got 2 different designs sprayed on it. I will spray some clear on it in the morning. I also sprayed the carbon fiber look on my pistol grip shifter handle. I did my gauge cluster over and sprayed that as well.Thought this might be a good thread to quickly show what you are up to with your cars today, as an alternative for people who don't have full build threads for their cars.
I'll kick it off!
Today I bolted on the new Cragar wheels and tires and took it for a quick test drive with no front or rear glass. What a great traction upgrade! 295/50/15s in the back and 155/80/15s in the front. Gave the car a whole new attitude.
I also installed my new Champion Radiator that I bought from Challenger Gary a couple of months ago. It works great so far, ran it for about a half hour with a single 16 inch electric fan and the temp stayed very steady.
Now I am removing the old cheapo headers and installing a new set of Doug's along with a mini starter that I pulled from the local U-Pull junk yard a couple of hours ago for 22 bucks.
Trying to get it driveable for Mopars in the Park. I live about 20 minutes from the fairgrounds so it shouldn't be too bad a drive with the 4.56 gears. Really looking forward to meeting some members!
