Years back I traded a guitar for a 1974 Olds 442 with a 455 in it. The guitar was a piece of crap, and a tree had hit the front of the 442. So it was kind of a fair trade.
I couldn't find parts for this thing, anywhere.
It was loaded, though. Had the 455, TH-400 tranny, 3.23 posi rear, heavy duty suspension, sway bars front and back, a fancy louvered hood, ram air setup, stripes on the hood, sides, etc. Color-coordinated wheels, captains chairs, Hurst console shifter.
After struggling to find parts for a year or so I sold it for a few hundred bucks.
Afterwards I read an article in some musclecar magazine. There were only something like 250 made in that particular bodystyle.
