why do you guy's like a turbo vs a centrif Supcharger?

I had a 1990 Supercharged Super Coupe SC T-bird V6.. With a pulley change, 3.5" straight exhaust, aftermarket top and a good tune it ran high 12's.. Very impressive for a 4000lb V6 Furd! Did some street racin' with it and took a Viper by a half a fender, SS Camaro by 10 links, Eclipse, Rx7 among a few others. I really do miss that car. The brakes went out and cost me $2400 to replace the Frickin Elec/Hyd booster.

OK guys, don't beat me up as I know it's a Mopar forum - and I would never sell out to the 'off brands'.

However, I wish we there were more Turbo charged Mopars to post video clips of, but I'm remiss at finding anything like the following youtube clip. Here's another example of the kind of power one can make with turbos - for not a lot of money...

It's of a 2.3 Turbo 4 cylinder (sorry) Ford Mustang owned by John Blair and he's close to (if he hasn't already) running in the 8's with a street driven turbo 4 banger.

Mopar guy, or not, you gotta admit, stuff like this is fun to watch.

Here's a second one of Joe Laramee and his "little" turbo 4 banger at Rockingham this year nailing an 8.23 at 160 mph - in the quarter...

I had a procharger on my dakota then went with the turbo and I most say I had better results with the turbo after I learned a few things,[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzZI2JsmsrM"]94 Turbo Dakota - YouTube[/ame]

Here a closer look!It ended up running 10.90 At 124MPH on 10#'s with 3.23 gears and 28''MT ET streets. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRKnL7Lvzy0&feature=related"]turbo dakota project - YouTube[/ame]

That is one sweet Dak ! I like the throttle response and how quiet that thing is - to be a 10 sec street cruiser.

It put 493HP to the wheels,it was a fun truck to drive,I got Hughes Engine spec the cam it was a 218/218@50 with 544lift with a 114 LSA,Back to the thread I found out that turbos seemed to be more power friendly and easyer to work with.Just me though.
