Accusations are easy-proof,not so much.

I do find it strange that you did leave out the part about his Uncle dying. That's a big part of the story.

Like we always find out about this stuff. There's always two sides.

Well, if he can sign in here in the last 2 weeks, he can message his buyer and let him know what's up with the transaction! No excuse for signing in here but no communication with the buyer IMO!

No excuses for not contacting the OP but in the same light no excuse for the OP not to tell the WHOLE story. That seems to happen a lot in these threads.

I had a similar thing a few months back. Seller sold me some parts, I paid with a U.S. Postal MO and heard nothing. About 2 weeks after, I pm'ed him. A few days later his son, pm'ed me back to say they got the mo, his dad, who I was buying from had had a heart attack and was out of action for a while, but the son would try to find out what he could from him and get my stuff sent. 3 months later, I still have not received anything, so I started digging and find a phone # and call and leave a message with his daughter. The next day I get a call from his brother and he say's that the seller had a severe stroke after the heart attach and he had no idea what or where the stuff that he found was suppose to go. He made good and I got my stuff the next week. Was I pissed for having to wait, No. Things happen in life and I completely understand. It's just car stuff. I knew he was a older gentleman, and his family comes first. Now I hate people that make up constant excuses, but I have patience, as I have had to ask people for patience from time to time. I guess if you can't afford to possible lose your money on a person to person deal, then go buy new, from the store and you will not have to wait, unless it's back ordered.

Its really not that hard to send an email, sms, PM, or even make a phone call and it only takes under a minute to keep someone updated on a transaction.
I buy parts from guys on here all the time and i am in Australia. I wouldn't deal with a seller like that.
Isn't it funny that he got in on this thread when we were all discussing him....
I say remove him from the site like he requested.

Kinda harsh

I don't think so, did you read the whole thread? He called the seller, and PM the seller several times with no reply. Then the seller cracks the sad's because we are all discussing it and requests to be removed.
It obviously sh*ts me when sellers cant communicate properly.
Luckily i deal with couple of great guys on here for parts and have not had any problems.

Yes read the whole thing.. I just think that with him losing his uncle.. That is a reason that we would of never heard if he didn't step in and it's a great reason why he didn't ship the parts... Sometimes life is more important then shipping out parts

I tend to agree.

And I was not defending him in my earlier post. Simply pointing out that somehow something always gets left to make the offended party's story sound better.......when it's not necessary. Regardless of a death in the family, business is business and personal is personal. No excuse for no contact or unanswered emails.

Agree, tell the whole story, no reason to leave out details, especially important ones!

yes it is , but when someone LOGS IN and DOES NOT let a buyer know what the hell is going on with their money or parts , that's when it becomes bullshit. if my people died and I OWED someone parts , yet I LOG IN but do not tell them what is going on, I would EXPECT a thread like this about ME.

you are missing the point, he LOGGED IN but did not take the time to PM or reply to the guy that sent him money until THIS THREAD came to be.

I think its great we got to hear the other side , who knows what would have happened had this thread not have been posted. If a seller has my money, logs in , but does not answer my PMs and then logs out again or does not answer, you bet your *** I would start a thread myself. sometimes that's what it takes to get a response.

exactly

I don't understand why some folks criticize a guy for joining the site to sell parts. One of the reasons I joined this site was to find parts I needed.

If the guy selling stuff was slow in delivering the things he sells it may be reason to become suspicious as to whether or not he's legit and whether or not you'll ever receive the things you've paid for. So I can understand the buyer worrying. We should all appreciate a 'heads up' when it comes to potential fraud. But I do not understand all of the piling on by members that have not had dealings with the seller.

If I ever go through a traumatic event while in the middle of a transaction I can't guarantee that my attention will be focused the way others would want. When my Dad (and then later on, my Mom) passed away life almost stopped for me. Not everyone was understanding when I dropped the ball with certain obligations. It took awhile for me to move on.

I'm glad to see that it looks as though the buyer will be getting his parts. I empathize with the seller about the death of his uncle and send my condolences. I can understand why he might wish to leave the site after reading some of the posts.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. If nobody sells.............nobody buys...........I have bought a ton of stuff here. And I will continue to do so as long as parts I need are available. Sometimes life does pop up with unexpected situations, but a quick PM or email and I'm all good with waiting. As stated earlier, "communication is key".

Guy has a life outside of FABO

if you cant communicate with the people you are selling parts to after you take their money, you have NO business selling parts

I understand where you're coming from. But for a few, loved ones are WAYYYYY more important than materialistic bull ****. If one of my loved ones die, screw you guys, I'm taking care of business. Of course I'd communicate. You guys got a problem with that? Go ahead and start a forum and start bitching and crying about it and don't forget to leave out the important details. Shows how much people can be so careless and obsessed with green and materialistic bull crap. I was raised different, money can always be replaced, not a human beings!

as to the log in thing-- my phone will stay logged in even when I'm not on the site, the app will stay running in the background & if i do not physically delete it it stays on, I think that is why it shows some people online but they do not respond.

it is too bad this thread was even started, there has been issues from the get -go, & 3 weeks for a money order transaction is not unreasonable

This "materialistic bullshit" is taking someone's money and then not communicating. THAT is the bullshit right there. If you're not ready to conduct business, then don't sell.
