You are correct. While the cells used were first discovered in fetal tissue several decades ago, the cell lines that have been developed since are not those cells, but rather new cells grown for the purpose of using in medical science. In many cases, they are entirely new cells manipulated to become that cell type.

All of the Covid vaccines have used the cells lines discovered from fetal tissue during their development. The J&J vacinnes is only a bit different because it uses one of those cell lines directly in the production of the vaccine because it is a “killed virus” type that requires these cells to make it work.

None of the vaccines contain actual fetal tissue nor are fetal tissues harvested and used to create them.

False perspective spread by people who don’t understand the science of Medicine and grab a detail that they don’t understand and proclaim it to be truth is far worse than the evil they believe they are proclaiming. Righteous ignorance is still just ignorance...and has been used by the perverse to spread dangerous misinformation only to suit their own agenda.

Science is not evil...intentional misinformation about science is. Science is trying to save lives, misinformation by a few is trying to keep it from happening...to protect their own power.
 
Don’t know if I had it or not-nor do I know if I had the flu. The effects of it are definitely evident-fear has surely got control of a lot of people and masks of all kinds have flown off of the shelves. These effects will certainly be long lived both mentally and monetary alike. I have lived my life as close to normally as I possibly could given the fear in other people has been astronomical! Have I stayed in a burrow with a mask on? Absolutely not nor will I! I will continue to be free but should you decide to live in fear-go for it! When one of my friends died of “covid” I was amazed that they would test a person that they pulled from a burning truck. But of course it wasn’t obvious how he died.

Protecting one’s self by using a mask as a precaution and limiting close contact with others is not “living in a burrow”. It’s common sense and a minimal burden to help constrain a virus that can (and has) killed hundreds of thousands. It also protects others from you (unless you only care about yourself, then nevermind).

I fail to understand what the resistance is to fighting a virus by protecting ourselves and others. Wearing masks is a big way to slow it down. Less transmission means fewer infected.

It’s a single cell bug that doesn’t care about anything but replicating. Why do we find it so hard to accept that...and fight it?? Keep it from getting to its next host by impeding it’s path. Masks do that.

This isn’t about some misplaced fear like it’s a choice, it’s a cold harsh reality. The bug wants only to replicate...and it doesn’t care if it kills you doing it. Do you think that denying it changes that reality?

Guess again.

Unfortunately, most masks that people are wearing are not protecting them or anyone else from a "single cell bug".

At the hospital where I work we wear the normal blue ear loop disposable masks during our day-to-day work. Anytime we go into ANY patient room or get in front of a ANY patient, we are required to wear an N95. I think that tells you how the hospital feels about anything less than an N95.
 
I had a doctors slip for 1999 saying I wasn’t required to wear a mask. I lost 1/4 of my heart after a heart attack and my doctor told me I couldn’t do millwright work anymore. I said what would it take to make you happy. He said I had to go to cardiac rehabilitation, not work in very high heat areas, learn to know my body and when to take a break, and don’t wear a full face respirator. I got permission to wear a dust mask for limited time. 8 weeks later I was back to work. So having that doctors paperwork I could have gone into any business legally, but I didn’t. I wore a mask in any business requiring them. But I didn’t stop living. I raced all year and did anything I wanted to do. I got careless at my small church not wearing a mask. Wednesday before thanksgiving I told my buddy I was going to online church and Friday I had coronavirus. One week to late. Ohhhhhh well.

You know nothing! This”government” that you blindly follow has in years past put me and others in situations that gave us three seconds to live and had we adhered to their”recommendations” we most certainly would be dead today! A lot of good men are dead today because they”blindly followed”!!! I have enjoyed the sunrise the smell of spring and life in general! You don’t have to agree with me but you don’t have the right to cage me!!!

Interesting . I just heard the statement about a catholic pope saying it came from fetuses .I usually dont regard anything a pope says , because of their forgiving people/followers of sin , only GOD can do that .
 
So here we go again about masks.

Masks do not protect the wearer.

That (or more correctly, the belief that masks are "supposed" to protect the wearer according to "science", but do not) is the single piece of mis-information that seems to propagate the most among the anti-maskers.

Masks help contain potentially infectious particles from leaving the wearer and landing on others.

Because this virus has a long incubation period, and because early symptoms can be difficult to associate with being infected, it's very possible for highly infectious people to walk around spreading the disease for up to a week.

By not wearing a mask when you are within 6 feet of others, you are not deciding for yourself whether you want to be protected, you are deciding for others whether they will be subjected to your bodily fluid if you happen to be infected and do not know it.


What I find particularly humorous (in a very sad way) are the often repeated anti-mask jokes that equate transmitting infected particles with farting. IE- if I can smell your fart through your jeans, then obviously a mask won't stop the virus.

A more realistic analogy would involve the actual droplets of feces from the person farting landing on your face.

Anyone think that's harmless?

In this case, the jeans actually do prevent that.

I have my doubts about the vaccine. I have not missed a days work during the pandemic. I work in hospitals, hotels, nursing homes. Everywhere there is a building with an elevator. I have been diligent in wearing my mask and washing properly. My 75 year old in-laws live with me. I have not gotten it and will continue to wear my mask even after they open the state up tomorrow. As far as the vaccine I’m not getting it yet. Science is not proven until years later. I have lost “healthy”friends to this China Virus.
 
Well it has now been 4 months since I had the virus. Still can’t smell a thing. Taste is about 50%. And biggest issue that I wrote off to pollen is my sinuses stay closed off. Which is a real problem as i use a Bi-Pap machine to sleep. When you can’t breath you can’t sleep

I could have almost wrote the same as you. No smell since Thanksgiving, 50% taste, I us a Cpap, and my Allergies are so messed up I’ve been using Equate (Walmart brand) Allergy Relief spray to get a good nights sleep. I recently bought 5 Essential Oils from Amazon to try to retrain my smell senses. They say to really think about what you are eating while you eat and think about how it should taste. I went to longhorn on Thursday and had a Ribeye steak and it was delicious but it was on my mind for three days leading up to my birthday. For some reason Navel oranges taste delicious to me.
 
Had my first dose of Pfizer last Tuesday. Had a headache all day and Wednesday my arm was sore.
All good today and the second dose is on 21st. of April.
 
I got my second Pfizer shot last week. Some things (like whiskey) have a off taste..
