There is a young guy in my area and he has a little business going for himself, it's called SPINCITY CUSTOM PRINTS. He sells on eBay but I just ordered a decal for my 68 directly from his e-mail and went over and picked it up. Unfortunately he crashed his bike a few years back and is paralyzed...
Well tonight was the night, a little cooler out tonight here in Michigan so I took her out on her maiden voyage. First legal drive on the streets since 1984 and she drove just fine, didn't go to far maybe 3 miles and then back home. I was a little nervous always thinking something might go wrong...
It's just amazing how things go together so well when you have the right parts. I stopped in at Roseville Moparts today and picked up the correct lower trans lever #2536270 I installed it no problem and the lower rod went on the lever and to the lower swivel just like it was made for it. LOL The...
Thank you for that info, Roseville is not that far from me. Based on what you are showing me here it tells me that the lever that I have on my trans right now is wrong and is probably why I can not get the rod connected correctly.
Thanks
Bob
Looking at this picture above and going from left to right, left being #1 right being #5 the lever that I have right now would be #5 and the way the keyway is it pushes the lever forward toward the front of the trans and mine is the longer one but it measures 3 1/2" long. Also the hole for the...
OK it has already been determined that I have the wrong swivel up top, a new and correct one has been ordered that is out of the way. The biggest problem that I am facing right now is the fact that even without any of the other kickdown rods connected I cannot connect the lower rod from the...
Thanks j I have everything in his picture except for the swivel which I just bought off of eBay. I did send him a message asking him to measure the length of the lower rod though to see if the one I have is the correct length, mine does look just like the one he has pictured same bends and all.
What about the top rod being 9 1/2" to the end of the threads? does that sound about right or not. I just bought the new swivel that was listed on eBay, one less part I need to find, most of the stuff that's in Gliders post looks the same as what I have but it's hard to tell just by the pictures.
I looked at his listing and the swivel does look like the ones on eBay. Is that the same one that you have or would you rather I bought one off of eBay instead of selling yours? It would probably be more in shipping from Canada to the US for me to buy your's.
The top rod to the carb is 9 1/2" to the end of the threads. Hey Kim will you search that eBay number also and see if that looks like the swivel that you have.
