Whatever you decide. I do have an aluminum small block bellhousing with the 4.80 diameter hole. If there is any chance you know someone coming to Moparfest in New Hamburg. I will be there and can bring it.
If you have three wires going to a plug/switch in the tranny (auto). One will be your reverse lights and one your neutral safety and one will be the power to the switch. The key must be on to check power to it.
I did the same. You do not need a different cross member. The hump will naturally fit in the place where it belongs due to the existing shape. I placed the hump then traced it with a marker. I moved it out of the way and using a reciprocating saw I cut two separate holes in the existing hump...
Geoff,
Yes, that all made sense to me. Thanks for the info.
Clhyer,
I will look into the other parts before contacting you for the chrome mounts.
Thanks to both of you,
Greg
I have a set of headrests.
Can someone tell me if my bucket seats in my 69 Barracuda would have headrest mounts under the vinyl if they never came with headrests?
If I could add headrests then where would I find the chrome exterior mounts?
I know my post is late but if it makes you feel better I did a conversion and never had a problem. I love it too! I don't have a ton of HP either but it is a fun ride.
Mine had the hole but no plate for the pivot bolt. I made a plate, simple. I put in a pistol grip too. Not many of those...
I need to know what was used for the bottom windshield chrome moulding on a 1969 Barracuda Convertible. I have been told it was a chrome covered plastic that fit in the weather seal grove. I have also been told it was a piece of chrome that was mounted with clips. I have never got a straight...
I am looking for the plastic joint that takes the larger fluid line coming from the washer pump and then splits it to the two washer fluid sprayers on the firewall. It has a mounting screw with it too. If anyone has one of those in their spare parts. Let me know. Thanks Greg

It is a 4 speed and I have an 8 3/4 housing waiting to go in the car. Was thinking of going with 3:23 suregrip. The car has a 7 1/4 presently
That leads me to another question. I am looking for the posi/sure grip third member. What is the difference between the 741, 742...
I do not know what heads are on it. I assume they are stock for a 69. The engine has never had any performance parts on it.
I think I will take the advice you all gave and go with the XE262, plus the electronic ignition. Thanks
I need some advice. Last summer I put a 318/360 Edelbrock Performer with a 600 cfm Holley and headers on my 318 engine. It is a little sluggish and I am pretty sure that is because I did not change the camshaft. The engine was bored over .030 as a stock rebuild by the previous owner with no...
I purchased several items through EBay while restoring my car. US Postal has a handling fee of $5.00 to have a package cross the border. All packages are charged Duty (taxes).
If you ship by air there are no Duties or handling fees. However it is more expensive so you need to compare...
Oh man! I just deleted a site from my favourites two weeks ago! I searched for a site about 8 months ago and found a site that a guy had taken the time to photograph Roadrunners at car shows in every colour and he included the Chrysler colour code for those interested. I believe they were all...
I forgot to mention I had changed out the dimmer switch already. i have a new headlamp switch and that is what I will start with . Thanks for your help.
My headlights will shut off while driving after about 15 minutes or so then they will turn on and off as if I am flashing oncoming drivers. The parking lamps are not affected. And to add to the situation it only happens while driving??? They won't cut out if I just turn the lights on while it...
Thanks for all the welcomes. Great website!
My wife is wondering if I have a girlfriend because she has never seen me spending so much time on the computer in my life.
I am not sure who it was but one of you left a "ForABodiesOnly" business card in my car or with my son on the Saturday of Moparfest. Thank you to whoever it was. Obviously I have signed up and look forward to the connection between all the members.
Thanks again, 8)
Greg
My wife and I have owned this car since 1992. We drove it regularly up until 2009 when I began its restoration. Several friends and family helped in bringing home parts from all over the States. I'm told the original engine was blown after the car was stolen and chased by the police in early...
