Fiat Chrysler FCA stopping car production in USA !

Now that 4 cylinder prototype in 1986 the Interceptor M4S was pretty cool. A 440hp twin turboed 2.2 liter motor. Too bad they never capitalised on it. Those Z cars weren't horrible. They just reminded me too much like the fox body mustangs. Like I tell my son: "You may think they're ugly and...

Fiat Chrysler FCA stopping car production in USA !

+1 Yep! Agreed... The "supposed" replacements for our A-bodies was the F-bodies... We all know what happened there. Then came the K-cars... And the 1980-1989 M-bodies such as the Diplomats had "some" potential as sleepers... Ugly sleepers IMO. Then the 1980's Turismo/Shelby chargers... Umm...

    Jeep 4.0 guys,check this out....

I remember one of the members of a local Jeep forum putting a 4.6L stroker in his rock crawling wrangler, Lets put it this way, he was able to easily keep up with or even did better than the chevy V8 CJ's and even the dodge V8's. There was one oddity that did really good too: A 1977 Jeep...

    Jeep 4.0 guys,check this out....

Funny how some of the 4.2 and 4.0 parts can be interchanged and be made into 4.5-4.7L strokers. I had a 1992 Jeep Cherokee once. One of the most reliable motors I've ever owned. Sold to a buddy at 250k miles. Who then gave it to his son and then in turn he sold it to a friend of his... The thing...

Would like to get my 66 Cuda's MPG high to drive Nor Ca to So cal

I just did a 1300 mile anniversary road trip in my duster a few weeks ago. Average mileage at about 72-74 mph was about 16.4 mpg. Empty mountain backroads at 55-60 mph I averaged up to 17.5 mpg. The worst mileage I got was about 14.67 mpg going from about 5000 feet above sea level to over 12000...

    1974 Duster I am Looking At....Need Help

I would offer 500-700 as well. Body panels is one thing... Its when there is rot in the floors and subframes that it starts to get sketchy.

    Siphon Gas?

This I like... Some old school discipline! If the splitting wood wasn't enough maybe the business end of a 12 gauge pointing at you will make you rethink your life choices.

    RockAuto Problems

I now get most of my stuff from Summit (if I can't get it locally). It's also nice since they have a warehouse in around Las Vegas area. I order from them on a Thursday night (payday!) I get them Friday afternoon. All weekend to play! I've used Rockauto maybe once or twice a year, what turned me...

Ok, not sure about this but are those rubber hoses coming out of the master cylinder? I'm no brake expert, but I think I wouldn't feel comfortable seeing that.

Great article on owning a muscle car

Article is meh... I agree with the others when they say its mainly the nut behind the wheel. I drove my duster when it started to snow a couple of months ago. I drove better then half the people out there with their "modern" cars. I have manual steering and manual disc brakes. Everyone seem to...

If it was me I would snag it! But then I have kinda of a soft spot for those old power wagons, panel wagons, carryalls and such. How about the 42' Wagon Carryall?

Very nice! I like the color! I dunno what it is with these trucks. Both Chevy and the Dodge powerwagons. I see them and I just like em'. Of course I've owned three 1980's era Dodge truck (1983,84 & 1988 ) that weren't much different from the 1970's power wagons. I'm still going to get a...

    Match Race ~ 1970 'Duster 340' vs. 1969 Mustang 'Mach 1' 351W

    Any Newbie Interest??

Dakotas much lighter than Dusters and aspen/volares? Dunno about that, if anything they are about the same weight if not slightly heavier. A 96 single cab shortbox dakota with a 2.5L 4 cyl weighs approx. 3042 lbs An 01 is even heavier at about 3300+ lbs with the same 2.5L motor. As for my...

    cougar lover

Yep... #2 on my list... #1 is an E-body Barracuda and #3 is the 1968-70 Roadrunner #4 1968-69 Mercury Cyclone I saw one in a show last year and I was instantly drawn to it. Sadly it bumped the Chevelle off the #4 spot. Speaking of which, I love cougars... I married one :love5:

    Beware U S Body source

I learned a long time ago that Hulk-smashing things to make stuff fit is not an economical way to make aftermarket parts fit. "Me bash steel, make puny glass hood thing fit!" You are now left with messed up metal panels that you have to straighten and smooth out. Not only that, you are now...
