where online to order front end parts?

I believe they are. I used P-S-T for parts for a B-body years ago. No issues.

    Rear shocks / struts

I may have misunderstood you, when you said you ordered a set from Espo Springs. Laura tells me you meant leaf springs, because they don't sell coil over springs for a dart or barracuda. I asked her for a quote on new leaf springs. Thanks!

where online to order front end parts?

I get the correct Moog number from RockAuto, then compare them to amazon. Often amazon can beat them when you figure in the shipping charges from RockAuto.

    Rear shocks / struts

Yes I mentioned the leaf spring helpers in original post. I guess it's the poor mans way to better leaf springs. O'reillys has the Superior ride effex ones for $70. Maybe hold me over till I get around to new leaf springs.

Will the trash can work as long as I mutter see you in hell? I already have KYB gas adjust purchased, but either one of your suggestions would have been great too.

    Rear shocks / struts

I see two options on RockAuto for leaf springs, both very similar in price. Maybe I'll just go with the new shocks without the coil springs until the time comes that I want to buy new leaf springs. I may still try the Superior leaf spring helpers.

    Rear shocks / struts

"Are you planning on towing or putting 200 plus pounds of crap in the trunk?" NEITHER! If I had a dead body to move it would be temporary. It set for 30 years with an extra back seat in the back of it. No clue where that seat came from, but if anyone needs one I have an extra.

    Rear shocks / struts

I actually used zip ties to compress the front ones. Upper shock mounts look good, and already have the panel out of the way to access them. Sounds like removing them will be easy compared to getting them back on the car. When searching most hits are the leaf spring helpers I mentioned in...

    Rear shocks / struts

I would be fully onboard with replacing the springs with the shocks. Can you lead me in the right direction in finding the replacement springs?

    Rear shocks / struts

Thanks. I wanted to make sure that's all I had to do. Didn't know if they were under any tension and if I needed any special tools to remove and reinstall safely. Sounds easy enough!

    Rear shocks / struts

Hello. So I knew I had the tow package but discovered this also gave me the 3.23 gears instead of the typical 2.93. Another pretty cool thing about this old 65 Cuda. A few questions about this picture. Trying to address some suspension issues while the gas tank is out of the way. I have KYB...

I sanded the points and put them back in. Have heard nothing good about the Chinese replacements I ordered. If it's not original to the car it would only be the second thing I found that wasn't. First was a carb that was period correct, just for a big block. I'm sure enough that it's 2444853...

I would love @halifaxhops input. Would consider sending this off to him for a refresh. I know so many just go electronic but plans for the car right now are to try to keep it all original with the dual points. As for the quality - these are the only points I found for this distributor on rock...

Thanks for the info. So am I supposed to add oil to that oil cup? Oil the foam pieces? Vacuum advance was already taken off before taking pictures. I don't plan to disassemble everything. Mainly just wanted to identify it and get some fresh points in it. The car has set for many years...

I'm as green as can be messing with distributors. Never even pulled one out of a car till now. This was pulled from my 273 4bbl, 65 Barracuda. A few probably stupid questions, but I couldn't find a distributors for dummies book. Where under the crud can I find a distributor number? I...

Just Bought a 65 Barracuda that sat for over 20yrs.

Mine set for 30 plus years, last registration according to the Texas plate still on the car was 1992. I agree with getting the engine out and going through it. I had poor compression, lousy leak down results, and no oil pressure, so it was a no brainer for me. Engine should be out in about a...

    Kick Panel Insulation

Interesting pic, but again this is a kick panel piece. Cuda Al has it exactly right. The piece in this picture is the only piece that is yellow in. Everything else is yellow to the outside.

    Kick Panel Insulation

Thanks. DMT for sure has the yellow side toward the body on the firewall pieces, but maybe the kick panel pieces are different.

    Kick Panel Insulation

I thought the yellow always went towards the body. Is that different behind the kick panels? I'm currently installing these behind some new kick panels in a 65 Barracuda.

    Adding timing chain tensioner

All good suggestions. This is the tensioner being used on another build. The guy said while it's not necessary it does keep the chain tight and timing on point when the chain starts to stretch. I'll decide later if I want to add one to a Cloyes double roller. Not sure there is a right or...

    Adding timing chain tensioner

So you did use one. Where did you get it? I'm leaning just a high quality double roller right now, like Coyles or rollmaster. I still can't believe how much slack is in mine. May be one of the reasons I haven't heard it run yet.

    Adding timing chain tensioner

Has anyone added a timing chain tensioner when rebuilding a small block (273)? If so, I'm looking for information on what tensioner you used. My chain has a horrible amount of slack, so will likely need replaced. I've heard the tensioner is a great little upgrade to the timing chain and is...

Best way to clean the gas tank and main fuel line?

Thought about cleaning mine out, decided against it. lol. Also just replaced all the lines from tank to carb, and the pump. No reason to take chances.

    Pre 551 inspection

551 inspection is required to get a bonded title and is done at the Highway patrol. Something you need to do if you purchase a car that doesn't have a title. My inspector immediately called out a problem with the VIN, saying the rivets had been drilled out. I had to educate him on 62-65...
