    1 7/8 Header Selection

Yep, manual box showed up Thursday, Mancini adapter tomorrow and have been sitting on my QA1 K member. Finally realized I needed bigger headers with what the stroker is putting out and have been looking for a box to show up on here. If I could find some 5303's it would be a done deal. Since...

Thanks for all the info are your past experiences, always appreciate hearing from folks who have hands on experience. Brian at IMM has gone through my heads twice, second time was adding 2.055 intake valves and more porting, not sure what they flow now. I've been looking around for used ones...

Looks like Jardines is only on Facebook (don’t have an account) and the website link looks hacked or sold, may have to call. Not sure the Schumacker’s would be much of an improvement over my Doug’s, but I’ve honestly never researched tri-y’s. Appreciate the suggestions!

Ah sorry, forgot some details. It’s a 1970 Dart with Edelbrock heads. Thanks, I’ll check Jardines out!

    1 7/8 Header Selection

So I’ve been digging through old threads on multiple sites trying to figure some headers for the Dart and pickings are kinda thin, especially if you want something available. Before I was trying to keep my P/S, but the only one available is TTI and apparently they aren’t that great for power...

Would you guys run these rear shackle hangers from mancini?

Send them back and tell the welder to use a fresh coat hanger next time. Structurally it’ll be fine as the bolt will hold it in, it’s more on principle.

Was Your First Job at Minimum Wage?

I can relate, good news is it keeps you from biting your nails.

Was Your First Job at Minimum Wage?

My grandfather’s plumbing company down in Hazelwood Pa. I got every **** job, literally. It’s why I’m not a plumber and left for the Navy when I graduated high school.

Fastest cars of the Dirty south tv show

Same here, also motivated us to buy/build the Dart together and take it to the track. Also would watch it with my Dad when I was visiting in Pittsburgh.

Fastest cars of the Dirty south tv show

Would be nice if they had some new episodes of the older shows. MotorTrend channel is part of my tv streaming service so no extra cost for me.

Fastest cars of the Dirty south tv show

Wasn’t Kenny Marone the owner of PTC and one of the guys in the show?

Fastest cars of the Dirty south tv show

Looks like reruns from a couple of years ago. I liked the show and have been hoping there would be new shows.

    The ever-so desireable 308 Heads

Is this the movie where the car was buried under a cement slab and Lee dug it up and ran it? I’ve been thinking about a movie like this for a while and couldn’t remember the name. I have a bad habit of remembering movies from my childhood in the 70’s and go on this ridiculous search to find it...

Much better, the other one is too runny for me.

    Water purification

Used to drink water out of the lake, which was an old strip mine, up in Butler when I was a kid, explains a lot! Was never brave enough to drink out of the Mon. Have heard good things about life straw.

    Complete fuel system

EFI tank, regulator for carb and some 3/8-1/2 lines running a return. This would be my setup if I had to do it over again. Currently running stock tank, Walbro fuel pump, 3/8 fuel lines with brazed 3/8 return to the factory sending unit. Never have an issue with restarts, even in 100+ temps in CA.

REPEAT MISTAKE: NEVER LEAVE A PART AT A GARAGE FOR LATER-LCA ISSUE

I really should have done this when I installed the QA1 strut rods, guess I’ll do it when I install my QA 1 K member, thanks for the reminder!

    Front end

It has to be something with your alignment. I’m running QA1 uppers and mine look like this on launch with 5 1/2” of travel.

REPEAT MISTAKE: NEVER LEAVE A PART AT A GARAGE FOR LATER-LCA ISSUE

I would try putting it socket side down on the welding table and hitting the bottom lip with a brass drift. Should loosen it up enough to rotate.
