Well, I DID beat a couple of slant 6 pushrods out straight with a hammer on a vise years ago. Put um back in, adjusted the valves and it ran great until I did the V8 swap.

The 73 to 76 k frames are a lot different between slant and v8. The slant has a taller driver side perch and the passenger side is like a small box that is lower, flatter and more offset to the passenger side.
