    8 1/4" rear axle identification

No you can't. There should be a small metal tag under one of the cover bolts that will have the ratio. Cliff Ramsdell

Yup. Daddy was on DE742 in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. He was on it from commission to decommission. It won eight battle stars. That little tub saw a lot of action. He's been gone since 98.

    8 1/4" rear axle identification

Nope! That’s a part number for the housing. You need to open it up and look at the ring gear OR count the turns (search that up top. It’s been asked a bunch of times.)

He wasn’t a good president but his actions as a man afterwards is priceless. He was a good man at heart helping others when and where ever he could. How many ex-presidents do you see helping build houses for the poor and disaster areas? Donating time and effort for others less fortunate?

    First car show -- advice??

Personally I go to shows that are raising money for a good cause. Usually I just tell the organizers going in that I don’t want to be judged and count the entry fee as a donation for what they’re raising money for. Usually my dad will be going and it’s just nice to get out and meet people, spend...

    VR-200’s…… AGAIN…….

Yes it is. The room part of the numbers (in part among a few other things) is how big the port is. A small port flowing this number vs a larger port will produce different power numbers. You should be able to create a good strong running engine with those heads and flow rates.

What made Jimmy Carter a wonderful human being, is what made him a horrible president. He was such a nice guy, and had such a massive faith in people, I'm not sure that he always understood that there is always someone trying to take advantage of that. Gotta give the man credit, he did more for...

Working on a new instrument cluster for the 64 Valiant

I'm leaning towards a matte black finish for the panel itself to co inside with the Guage faces, and silver to match the rings for lettering.

Remounted my polisher, nice and quiet now. Mostly for rifle brass with walnut shells does a bang up job on them. Did some smaller chrome pieces they turned out well also. It was just to noisy. Now I can put it on the floor with a cardboard box over it and you hardy know it’s running

    What sensor is this

LOL Not like these old girls are overloaded with sensors/ senders. Oil and temp, and the fuel tank Oil light is actually a pressure switch unless it's a gauge. Oil on a SBM is back behind the distributor

    Titles

This varies state by state, in Idaho is a giant PITA. I would see if you can CALL your state central DMV, AKA at the capitol or wherever, not local, and get the straight story. Others have pointed out to me that some states NEVER ISSUED actual titles in older times, and the registration...
