    318 build with dyno session

I had high hopes of building a simple 318 with my 80's roller block and some Speedmaster heads. I have a steel 273 crank and the stock 318 cast crank. Or should I just put in a stroker crank and call it a day. :BangHead: :BangHead:

Most everyday guy is gonna probably run it with stock size valves ported or not.

    Wiper switch knob removal?

I'm actually hoping it will clean up enough so I don't have to mask and paint the black and just use those chrome pens to detail the accents Thanks

    Wiper switch knob removal?

Hobby shops carry chrome pens. I have 3 different width sizes of MOLOTOW chrome pens I got from HOBBY LINK. I use them for chrome detail on the Mopar models I build. They are pretty awesome. Check it out if you don't already have something

I’ll check the cooler lines and cooler to see if I have any material in there.

    318 build with dyno session

I'm not sure yet, but definitely no on the 2.05 deal and cast heads dont seem like the answer either, I'm weighing options currently. I kind of want to keep this build simple, something the everyday guy can assemble himself, nothing exotic, no crazy head porting or anything like that.

I’m not sure the converter, it looks like a stock one but it had been welded at the snout and along the edge, so it was opened up some point. My idle rpm is 1k.

car that influenced me when I was young

An older neighbor around the corner had 69 Coronet RT, B3 blue with a white vinyl top and interior. With Cragar Mags, that car was beautiful. I don't know what exhaust or cam it had, but it was loud. His sister won a new 72 Mustang convertible in a contest. I don't know quite member what that...

    Going back to Chrysler ignition

Factory electronic distributor so you can set the timing up correctly. HEI control box and a HEI coil. One ignition wire and your done. Best thing I ever did. Some will ***** that it's a GM part. So, it works great. I like to drive my cars.

    440 Source Balance Job

Mopowers, I’m not a machinist, but I do run a 440 Source 512 in a OE 440 block. I had the balance checked before assembly. It was 4 grams out. I say, have it checked just so you have that piece of mind in knowing for sure. Tons of torque.

    318 build with dyno session

Let me start by saying, I am definitely NOT a head porter, but the dilemma I'm pondering now, is that the speedmaster heads as cast, have the throat percentage to big for the 2.02 valve size for my liking, especially on a 322 cube engine. Theres not really a quick and easy way to fix that, so...

Pull it and go through it. Get the torque converter rebuilt, now would be the time to change the stall to match your engine and rear gear. Flush the cooler lines and send the radiator out. The cooler will be plugged with all of the burnt clutch fibers. I'd add an extra cooler as well. There is...
