Original Chrysler part number was 2631383 which superseded to 2822170. Nos ones can be found but expect to pay big bucks.

I have been running a 7500 HiRev on my Duster for a few years. Been very reliable and performs great. I run .035 gap on RC12YC. I tried a locked distributor once (not in the Duster) and it would lose about 6 degrees timing at shift point. I don't run locked distributors now.

As of about a week ago, Dan does not have a source for them. If you find a source for GOOD ones, please let us know. I got one of the "hundred buck or so" ones of ebay awhile back and although it works, it does not return a lot of the time.

Check inside your distributor cap for carbon spark trails shorting things out. Also stay away from the distributor caps with the narrow inside terminals > they are trouble. Teminals should be like 1/4" wide or better. ☆☆☆☆☆

To read the timing correctly you need to pull the vacuum advance hose off at the carb and plug that carb port with a short hose and a golf tee. Also slow the idle way down so the mechanical advance is not engaging. Should be somewhere around 12 degrees BTDC advanced initial and 30° degrees...
