    Your old dodge trucks.

Bought this ‘75 shortbed D100 from a wrecking yard back in the early 90’s and drove it as a beater for many years. Then, a few years ago, my son and I decided to give it a new lease on life...

    Optima battery??..

I ran the same red top for 10 years. When it got tired I replaced it with a Odyssey 25-PC1400T - also an AGM. It's definitely got more meat on its bones.

    Did i damage my 727

Pic is small but you can see the cable (with heat sleeve) comes around from passenger side, across front of bell housing, and into bracket.

    1970 duster steering column

The white bushing is typically between the outer jacket and shift tube (visible in the OP's pic. Retainer clip is also visible). The shift tube rotates within the bushing. There may not be anything between the shift tube and steering shaft at the bottom and that could be considered 'normal'.

Properly sealing timing cover to oil pan.

There’s little to no clamping force between the cover and pan out on the corners. So the cover flange definitely needs to be straight and flat. You might get lucky getting the cover back on over the dowel pins and get a good seal between cover and oil pan with the old gasket. You might not...

    Hi flow electric fan

Though less than ideal, I’m forced to run a pusher. SPAL fans are known for actually moving their advertised cfm. For me, a 16” (30102047) has worked. Had to modify the hood latch/grille brace for fitment. Not quiet though. A1 Electric Online Catalog -- Spal Cooling Fans and Accessories Unless...

    Quarter windows wont stay open

The hole where the hinge attaches through the glass is fairly large.Try loosening the screw and pushing the hinge as far forward as you can while tightening the screw. I found it created tension that helps hold the window more securely in the open and closed positions.

Mopar Cast Valve Cover with ME Wagner adjustable PCV

My suggestion worked with BB cast covers that come with a breather/filler hole already knocked out. The opposite end is not (just a blank) like you see in these pics. I've got the pcv in the notched breather hole on right side, and a twist-on filler/breather cap on the opposite cover.

Mopar Cast Valve Cover with ME Wagner adjustable PCV

I know exactly what you need for a Wagner PCV to MP cast cover and am pretty sure you won't find the correct aftermarket grommet at most stores. Order a Ford Performance Parts Valve Cover Grommet Set M-6892-F from Summit or similar. Fit and works perfectly.

    before the axle turn downs

I've got the same problem of no space for over the axle. Turn downs are at an angle, which helps. Wish Dynomax made Ultra-Flo's like that but maybe they wouldn't Flo so Ultra, then.

    1970 Duster windshield molding clips

In 1970 the windshield garnish was stainless steel. At some point the factory switched to shi**ty anodized aluminum. That could account for slight changes in clip style and type used at a given location. I see no reason to believe someone installed 4 of the wrong clip on you car. Like I said, I...

    1970 Duster windshield molding clips

It’s been many, many years but I recall a mixture of clips on my ‘70, no vinyl top. Seems the odd ones were across the bottom. Looking back at notes: Out of all the front clips, 5 were different. There are 9 total across the bottom. I reinstalled the tall clips (with slotted screw holes) in the...

    Steering Column Collar Install

As already mentioned, there is a large set screw that secures it to the inner shift tube - nothing else. With the column fully assembled that section will rotate from side to side a little but that's normal. I have a series of old pictures here: Interior Work - 1970 Plymouth Big Block Duster...

    Ranting about shipping costs!!!

FedEx and UPS raise their rates 5% the first of every year now. In the company I work for we have talked to FedEx reps about rates and told we can, in part, thank Amazon for rate increases. All those boxes of air you get from Amazon? Those empty boxes fill up trucks. They also negotiate rates so...
