you may be missing the liner when you stick the wire in. its eazy to do. it looks really similar to the cambel hausfield welders that wally world sells. I have one of them and had trouble getting tips, went to my local Farm store and matched it up.

dartman , if you had put the big bolt through from the inside out you would not have had to grind the bolt.

the upper shuld instal with the same tool it was removed with, if not you can use a vice and a big socket for those. ive never done a stock lower so i dont know. no , it wasnt me who posted about the poly, but they are a more solid bushing and easy to install.
