Install of interior kit - rip off !

I bought the front split bucket/bench seat cover from legendary. Asked a lot of questions got lots of answers and did it myself. The best advice is get the pliers, get the hog to rings, take all kind of pictures while taking apart. Then Lay the covers in the sun and let them soften. It really...

Photos of an original Space Duster trunk.

I actually got them from Jims Auto Parts. The cost now is $69.99 for the 3 pieces. They are not the easiest people to deal with. There are no instructions that came with them, they're just pre-cut and pre-folded. But it does dress the inside of he trunk up. especially if you have the drop down...

Photos of an original Space Duster trunk.

I had a 73 Duster identical to the one I have now back in 1978. The car was 5 years old when I got it.. It had the cardboard inserts for the quarters and the tail panel. The rest of the trunk floor and wheel wells were in carpet. So I put this one back the same way. Heres how it turned out. The...

    A body rear carpet

I went to Home Depot and bought about 6 or 7 yards of black outdoor carpet. Kinda like the loose not loop pile. The only thing made currently I'm aware of is the cardboard pieces that go on each quarter and the rear valance across the trunk (where the latch is) I cut my carpet to fit and had to...

How Do You Remove AM Radio and Heater Bezel?

Don't forget there may be a small metal brace on the right side near the bottom (passenger side) 3/8" or 7/16" nut on a stud off the radio, and a screw underneath the dash..

    Your experience ?

Legendary are the best, its what I used in my Duster. If you get something off Ebay it will probably be second rate. PUI or ACC interiors.. Not my first choice at all. But if money is an issue then ya got to do, what ya go too do! 19..

    Nylon Seat Spacers

So of I remove the front 2 I should tilt it forward ( I hope) and have no problems. I guess my only question is. What does everyone use to keep moisture out of the holes. Rubber washers, silicone, ????

    Nylon Seat Spacers

Alrighty, another one of these quetions that I'll get an answer both ways.. I bought and used the nylon 1" spacers that go under the front seat and space the seat 1" from the floor of my Duster. Heres the question do ya really need them? My seat seems/appears to sit higher, and add the fact I...

    Painting plastic trim

I went to a an auto paint store and they matched (as close as they could) to one of my kick panels. I told the person behind the counter what I was painting and it needed to be of a satin/suede finish. That's where is 25+ years of mixing paint came in to play. I couldn't tell you the type but...

Is this the wrong glovebox liner?

Well all I can say is if you squeeze the sides in to install and start the top srews in don't tighten them up. Then (this is where that 3rd hand comes into play LOL) reach up under the metal dash closest to the door and force it over to start the screw and just give it a couple of turns, then do...

Is this the wrong glovebox liner?

This was what the back of mine looked like. I picked it up at the MoPar Nationals.. And it fits, excuse the wires they go to the amp on the inside... But really it does fit..

Is this the wrong glovebox liner?

I just put mine in and it's a cardboard one.You need to take the latch off of the top, take the glove compartment door and hinge off as well. I found that if you collapse the sides where the bend marks (scores) are, it fits okay. Ya just need three hands to pull it in place. #6 or #8 sheet...

    Question on Interior Quarter Panel

Can someone tell me if there is a screw in the bottom corner closest to the door. My old panels only had one on one panel. I was wondering if some one just stuck it in there to hold the panel in place or if indeed it needs to be there? Any info be much appreciated. 19.....

    Fold down seat carpeting

It actually so far has turned out better than I expected. I took the steel piece that goes between the trunk and the back seat covered it in that Bubble insulation, then glued the carper to it. Along with the drop down into the trunk.. I'll see if I have any more pictures.. By the way I forgot...

    Fold down seat carpeting

I wound up buying it by the yard from legendary when I ordered my carpet for my car. Taking off the old carpet was easy, it was getting the 40 year old glue off that sucked. After I cut my piece(s) I went to a local upolstry shop and them sew some binding around the new pieces. It actually...

    Dynamat

It's flashing material you can find it in the roofing supplies. Cost was about $16.99 a roll. I used apprx 5 rolls. It had no harsh odors and I used the aluminum tape to seal it up.

Sometimes Truck Shipping can be cheaper if the party who is shipping will take it to a terminal, and the buyer will p/up at their closest terminal. But both have to agree. Seat Latch Knobs

Okay I've looked for quite a while for a pair of Seat Latch Knobs. The quality is usually poor to bad. I refuse to spend the $50.00 + most want to sell them at. So I thought I would look at other makes like Chebby, Ferd, Keeahh, Punchiak, Honder, and any others you can think of.. So after...

Sail Panels Lets See How You've Done Them..

I have a 73 Duster with the infamous Plastic Sail Panels. Since no one repops them, it sounds like all of us have the same issues. Cracked, in pieces, broken tabs, elongated holes, warped, plastic welded all over, and the list goes on.. I re-painted a pair that I bought last year and had to weld...
