    Best piston for street/strip 340?

Blue printing the motor and have the cam degreed with help. Double roller taming chain, good port and blend in the head. Gasket match the intake and head. Good quality header. Good ignition setup. I windage tray or crankscraper in the bottom will prevent a small loss of hp and keep oil where it...

What is This Part and Why is it Leaking Oil?

It's part of the torison bar system. That part doesn't have oil. Maybe a little grease that's it. The oil is coming from in front of that and the wind is blowing it back. You have an oil leak on the engine is my guess.

    Main Stud Girdle Kits

I use a girdle in EVERY build I do period. I think they are worth every penny. I have one in my 340 with a crank scraper (up and down stroke) and could've stuffed a windage try in there if I wanted.

    Cylinder Head decision

I'd get a set of 302 from the junkyard and take them to the machine shop myself. The 302s will already have the harden seats in them, they're closed chambered (a bump in compression) and they have a swirl design give you more flow. That's what I'd do. buying a set of head that are already...

    HV Oil Pan Question

I know autoxcuda has a set of TTi headers with this oil pan but I do not know the size of them. Why not set him a pm about it. Doug's headers also work with this oil pan also no problem.

    HV Oil Pan Question

Yes! It is the milodon road race oil pan (which the member autoxcuda helped design). It holds 6 quarts, has baffles, oil temp sensor bung, and sits ABOVE the k frame. You can use headers with it as well. There is plenty of room inside to fit a windage tray if you want. I have this oil pan on my...
