so in short i either take the weights off my converter and use b&M flex plate or i leave the weights on and get a standard flex plate for a 360 which if its different than a 340 i will have to buy one.

i just happen to have picture with me.

i have the flex plate 10236 already, i need to know if i can use it with this TQ before its balance with the flex plate.

since i have 2 weights , one on either side of drain plug i am thinking its a 360 converter already if that's the case the B&M flex plate i got will be put on the shelf for the next build.

need to get this straight. i have a 727 from a 340 car i believe, the converter has 2 weights on it, i am thinking i can use that converter on a 360 if i get a special flex plate right. correct?

does anybody know if the single wire NSS from 65 barracuda (cable 904) fit a 727? The 727 has a 3 wire NSS.

just replaced seal. didn't remove anything else.

the first center section grabbed is a 741 case, it needed a pinion so I put one in. the problem is when I go to torque it down the yoke seal shield hit the case and before I get reach torque the pinion doesn't spin free anymore. it did prior seal change. crush sleeve problem?

i am about to get a drive live made, so if I got this right put the slip yoke in transmission all the way. pull it out about an inch and measure from the center of u joints right that is the length number i need correct.

ok this is for a 65 barracuda i cut down the 8.75 housing to fit this 65 barracuda i missed a thickness calculation some where at the start but the final product is the same as far as left and right side measurements go. I just need to know how to measure axle length correctly. custom made item...

maybe I should just put the cable shift 904 back in. right now I am trying to get a 727 in there behind the 360, its a big no go in short

quick question. how strong are ball and trunion type drive shafts? never had one before not sure I should run one. 65 barracuda, was 273 going to be 360. also how dependable are the cable shift 904s as well?

ok guys. looking for info. short story is I have a 727 from my 340 I want to take that tranny and use on my brothers 360. I saw some dudes use a flex plate that is balanced for a 360 does that mean I can use the torque converter from the 340 or do I still have to buy the externally balanced...

I just cam across a pile, well small pile of 64ish 8.75 b body rear ends. I know they have tapered axles and the hub/drum are pressed on, however I noticed there 741 housings and almost all are sure grip or well something is going on in thee due to the fact that both axles spin the same...

mmmm ya that 8.75 is in one of my other cars so I have to work backwards which is still moving forward from the 7.25 in the 65 barracuda.

Dana 44 (from the marks on the carrier) 30 spline Limited Slip carrier. I don't know what it came out of. The numbers on the carrier are: 5 12 0 A, 22017X, NC30755 N A R 1 X, 44 AUTO.............. does anybody know if this dana fits in the 8 3/4 housing.
