there is. i mean i have a 4 door and i would love to find some reasonable priced doors in good shape, arm rests, especially theones for the rear doors and the base plates. door panels are hard to find. mostly i just want doors, and weatherstripping for them, which no one else makes thus far...

my 68 dart has a 360 / 904 / and and 8.25 rear with highway gears, dont know the numbers of the gears. got 19mpg highway running down the road mostly @ 70mph.

looks like a better project than a donor to me

the epic problem of barracuda drivers going to jail on manslaughter charges for having ineffective brake lights installed by the factory is only slightly lesser known than the Pinto blowing up when rear ended problem.... i think it would be nice to see a tail light housing developed to replace...

i concur with the rest before I even read their replies, interior work is easier for the layman to do oneself than bodywork.... and cheaper to farm out, having done so with both kinds of work thus far.

if you have some original paint on it I would test spray an area and see how it looks. semi gloss black might be a nice middle ground regardless

i would say the coolest thing i have found was two old Kansas liscense plates from the mid to late 20's the wife claims to have found a **** ring...

i did the same thing, silver paint, the cap ( indicates color) looked like it was chromed. turned out great.

did you boil them with the metal parts on the belts still? are they easy to take off if you did not keep em on?

i have taken the the fenders off my 68 dart without removing everything, but I think it's in your best interests to take off as much as possible if you have a paint job you do not wish to mar.

i liked the idea of the rump stripe with "Valiant" written inside.

you could shave the rear door handles off and fill in the holes but add in the remote trunk locks on the doors and make the back doors pop open at the touch of a button.

consolation, make it drive, drive it for awhile, and when the burning desire has been satiated a bit, tear her down :D

if I had another vehicle and the garage space my dart would be in the process of being completely dismantled and fixed up the right way, regardless of the amount of time it would take. so if you can do that, do it, I think it will save a lot more headaches than it will cause.

there are not many places in this country, let alone the world where you could use that car to its fullest potential. what a waste of 1.5 million IMHO ;-)

insane prices only stay that way if people actually pay them though. need less newbies caving to the insane prices of basket cases to bring the prices back down to reasonable levels :)
