    72 Dart Swinger 3.6L Pentastar +T5

This x1000! While any Mopar I do personally must be Chrysler powered, the 8.8 is the way to go. An 8.75 rear for an A body is stupid expensive and you are stuck with small bolt pattern axles. Pricing everything out, an 8.75 spec'd like I want it would be at least $1500. The 8.8 would set...

    72 Dart Swinger 3.6L Pentastar +T5

While I'm usually not the biggest fan of a v6, this is totally unique and out of the box. It should be a peppy machine that gets fairly decent mpg which is needed this day in time. I can't agree with the 1st post though. I haven't seen enough gen iii hemi swaps for them to be even remotely...

Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

How about 1,700hp??? 1100hp R3 sb 1,100HP Street-Legal 1972 Plymouth Duster Purple Terror: How to Get 1,000 HP Out of a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Point being there are several out there. There was also a tube chassis Sebring with a 390 stroker making around 1150. I lost that info quite a while...

    71 dart

Ignore the haters. It is a fabrication masterpiece IMO. At least it doesn't have a stupid "LS1 engine that everybody swaps into everything because its the greatest thing ever!":-? This build is killer. I'm down with any custom ride as long as its mopar powered.

    65 Barracuda Gasser + 1956 325 Dodge Hemi Build

I am building a gasser myself...so I find this really cool. I wonder if the axle came from one of those flat nose late 60s vans...

    Rebirth of Dustbull-with 408ci, efi, t56, dana 60

Geico sucks a**. I have been dealing with them since Feb and still haven't made a settlement. The offers are retarded and they will lowball you to no end. If anybody says they have GEICO, GET A LAWYER ASAP. To the OP: Glad you got a Demon. A great replacement for sure!!

    Green Envy

I dig all the 66 and up Chargers..so I will be watching this thread. Purists are going to be upset over my build.... But in all fairness, it had been rotting for the last 25 years. I have a soft spot for rough cars that nobody wants to build. Rock on :happy1:

Hey man...what brand of paint did you use? Looks like you got it right!! It is a cool color because of how it changes when the light hits it.

    72 demon 340 resto

I love the fender tag idea. I want to make another one for my '72 340 Demon because it has a few rust holes. The rusted tag would look terrible on a car that is fixed up ... I can't afford the $250.00 either... Any advice on this?? Yours looks really good!! Good resto progress as well.

+++1 to StrokerScamp for the above comment. I have seen far worse fixed than what you have there. I say fix it and there is another one saved.

    71 Demon gas cap

'71's are a one year only deal. Seems like a person could get a different year filler tube and get the cap with that?? Just a thought??

Old Cobbled Up Work is Trying My Patience

I'd keep the ragtop. I could see it looking all Formula S with some Barracuda grille's up front!

You are lucky to have those rides! :blob: Any pics of the Duster?? You can still bet that there isn't 414 left!

fm3 coded 340 auto duster resto...............

It's still not a common a body. The only other one that I know of is in Canada. There were more than nine FM3 Dusters made in '70, but probably not with the 340. I don't know the exact number for 100% but how many are left is the real question??

fm3 coded 340 auto duster resto...............

This is such a great thread. I can't believe a scrapper was gonna haul it off...completely stupid. I'd put it back to original- with a 340 or 360 that looks like a '70 340. I think that only nine 340 Dusters were made in 1970 with the FM3 code. Very rare indeed. You won't see another one.

    72 Demon build.

I have a /6 car in that same color. It is bare bones as can be. 225/3 speed column shift, rubber floor mat, no drip rail moldings and hubcaps (redlines).. Cool project.

    1974 Swinger...let the pain begin

My '72 340 Demon is FAR worser than the OP's car. I agree!! You can start with something much worse. To the OP: Cool build and I'll be watching it!!

    My '72 Demon 340...

You seem to have a decent starting point. I'd like to keep up with this thread as I am gonna start on a '72 340 Demon soon..

    SS Slant Six Dart

This is pretty wicked. Which Holley 600 is that? is the double pumper? I have heard so much speculation on carb sizes with modified /6's... I ran a Holley 500 2bbl on mine for a while and that was way stronger than the Edelbrock 4bbl that was previously on it.
