I was just cleaning up some paper work, and one item was the employment offer, dated April 1, 2022. Irony doesn't get any better than this.

I want to thank our member A56 for going above and beyond as a board member, reaching out and assisting another member (me) in this *** ache. He contacted Autozone, supplied me with peoples names, contact numbers, e-mails etc. I spoke with the district manager, she admitted fault was theirs; a...

    Autozone

Who knows, who cares.........the whole event paints quite a picture of just who/what Autozone is, behind their facade! It just blows my mind to be terminated before my first scheduled day of work because some district manager allegedly could not reach me by phone, yet she left no message on my...

    Autozone

Yea I was hired and fired before I did a days work!! It sucks though because it was gonna be part time, delivering parts to commercial accounts easy peasy; was within walking distance of my home. I guess I buy parts from the competition now.

    Autozone

Just thought I'd share one of those stories that you just can't make up. Autozone in my area is hiring, I thought I'd get a part time job, pick up some pocket money, have a reason to get out of the house; retirement is boring. Went thru the application process twice; got the automated response...

Is This an Indicator of Detonation?

If you are not sure if the rings are seated, put it back together, take it out and stand on it as hard as you can. Rings seat due to pressure, not just going up and down in the cylinder; take the car out and put a load on the engine

Did the Assembly Plants Lubricate Starter/Flywheel Teeth?

Actually, no he is not kidding......engines do have a tendency to stop at certain points......study of the ring gear will point that out

Did the Assembly Plants Lubricate Starter/Flywheel Teeth?

The point is.......if you grease up the starter teeth: and I have never seen grease on starter teeth, every one I have worked on has been dry: there is going to be transfer of grease to the ring gear of the converter/flywheel and that spins all the time while the engine is running..........hope...

    Opinions on this?

My vote: keep the P/S and the AC........when you are out cruzing, do you want sweat running down your back, you live in Florida, I'm sure you know it gets hot.......the P/S is nice for parallel parking

Anti seize on spark plugs in aluminum heads?

Decades ago I pulled the threads out of one of the aluminum heads on my Subaru because the threads on a plug seized up because I did not use antiseze; since that time I have been a dedicated user. I can't quite understand why you think you don't need it. What ever you do good luck.

    Towing a manual A100 with a dolly?

My experience: Decades ago before I got a trailer, I towed with a tow dolly. I'd disconnect the driveshaft from the differential, tie it up out of the way with mechanics wire. I left it in the tail stock of the transmission so as to not spill tranny fluid. I did not worry about locking...

I think your price is low, and agree with others that he will be the customer from hell if he comes back. If he does, tell him you are booked up for at least a year before you could possibly get to it. Shake his hand and say "Thank you very much" as you show him the door.
