    302's on the 360 ?

I am thinking about playing with my cylinder heads and swapping out the massively worked over J's with the 2.02 valve treatment (and much more) for a set of 302's. Now I am not a cylinder head guy so I may be totally wrong in my thinking...and that is probably the case... but I want to see if...

    New Cam-give me your opinion/

tell ya what, mine does not sound stock lope...see I'll fire it up for ya... hear it? I thought I'd be dissapointed going from the .284/.484 because i liked its lope, but I am not dissapointed at all. The xe268 still puts a pound to the ground and virates my teeth at a idle. now this...

    New Cam-give me your opinion/

this is funny, I just got rid of my .284/.484 and put the comp cam in, with my set up I couldnt get much off the line power, but would come in strong and pull strong. With the new cam it evened things out and the driveabilty is so much nicer. That .484 is a nasty stick, think it needs more...

more on the one pc. pan gasket.

ok. the 1 pc pan gasket for the 360 looks like a sweet deal. However, it is a real pain. It would be a great deal if the motor was on a engine rotisserie and you could just slap it on. Not so great when the motor is still in the car. you have to install the gasket to the block, not the...

one piece oil pan gasket for 360

maybe i found the answer.......I located the instruction sheet in the box and it says to apply silicone to what I think is the areas you are talking about. So maybe that is the answer. Did you seal yours up or get rid of it and go back to the multi-piece? Was that the only problem area you...

one piece oil pan gasket for 360

Ok I ordered up a one piece oil pan gasket for my 360. It looks like a great gasket. My question is to anyone that has experience with them. what exactly do I need to do to install this. Is ANY sealer used anywhere on this? like maybe around the crank areas on front and back? I hope this...

    Pushrod length

I read this and get a sick feeling in my gut for some reason. Not to take over a thread, but if the push rod is a bit too long, this would also hurt performance a bit too.. right? I'm thinking I need to check some things.... -RPM

    Oil Pan Seals ??

well thats what i thought they were, but i for the life of me cannot see where they would have come out of without physically removing the cap. I put the pan back on without the pcs. well thanks everyone, i am definately sticking with degreeing in the cam. The engine is not on the stand though, I am just performing a cam swap, I may have failed to mention that, but, either way, I will still degree the cam to make sure she is correct. By the way its Comps XE268 cam...

    Degreeing Cam Needed???

I am just curious what some of you think. When installing a cam on a small block with hydraulic lifters and stock rockers, non-adjustable, and running a single key timing set straight up, is it really neccesary to centerline the cam???? I have always done it and it always comes out correct...
