yea, i didnt think the throttle cable would have anything to do with it. the trans isnt original. it was a /6 car and i swapped in a 360 and 727. the trans is out of a 73 challenger. when im cruising in third and i hammer it, it doesnt want to kickdown. i rebuilt the trans a few months...

the throttle canle seems to be working fine. if i remember right, when i did the engine swap i used the /6 cable with the v8. should i get one for the v8?

ive got a b&m and its OK. but from what ive heard. id go with a trans go if i did it again. my buddy has a transgo kit in his cutlass and its the bees` knees

i went through all the linkage and adjusted everything. topped off the fluid and drove it. it drove perfect. every shift is on time and they are good, solid shifts. i just drove home from vincennes to bedford (60 miles) and had no problems. i agree on b&m kits being alittle inconsistent...

it was the $40 b&m kit. it came with a plate. and it said to remove certain check balls. i went throught the valve body. nothing seemed out of whack and all the valves seemed fine. my instructor was with me and he said it seemed ok. i still might take it back out and do some checking. thanks
