    heat control illumination is the correct answer. the bracket mounts to the dash to hold the wire. it is plastic so it will "pop" into the control housing. orange is hot from the instrument light circuit. black is ground.

    when i did my last duster it was really nice up in the corner too. i dug out all the seam sealer, blasted and painted(primer) the whole cowl area below the winshield under the dash. redid the seamsealer and painted(color).as far as the d/s cleanout, on the cars without a vent. the best results...

    redfish is right. right behind the rear wheel on the inside. a plug about 2" in dia. with a small drain in the lip. you'll know it when you see it. its gray.

    just to say i showed you, why you should clean it out once in a while. and this one is really nice too. i've seen these entire cowl/rocker areas GONE.

    like redfish said, 2 bolts and a few shims, it is probably still wet, pull the bottom of the fender out, and wash it all out good. put the shims back in thier original locations and tighten her back down. all done.

    i went back through my resto pics to find these. so it has grimey kid prints all over it(mine). you need to get it out of the box so it flattens back out. i want to try another one soon, so i can get it all in pics, so i can share.

    there is really no easy way but, in the past on all of my non air cars, i took the vent box out from under the dash. i reached up into the cowl and got what i could by hand. then i open the door and look up inside the a-pillar and locate the drain hole for the cowl. i go find a coat hanger that...

    Help 70-72 Duster owners

    something is missing. it seems to me the bottom was a bolt.for the pivot that is. i may be wrong, all i have is bucket seats and they are bolts. then the cover goes on with the two little screws (threaded holes).good luck, someone here knows, i promise.

    ocdart has the answer. the bolt hole locations are inside of the old ones for the bench seat. but you need to make sure you stay on the frame attachment stiffener for the outside two holes. if you look up under the car where the old bench seat holes are, you will see the holes for the bucket...
