    two to four

a freind gave me an iron 4 barrel carb and manifold, and seeings how I'm broke, I can't afford to go aluminum. I'm switching from 2 to 4 barrel. so my question is, do i have to match port the heads to put the thing on? it's a '73 318. thanks.

    please help 225/318 swap

the actual swap part is extremely easy, I basically built mine from a short block, and the hardest part was finding the right parts. you will need shifter linkages, as I remember finding 4 types of them and neither of them fit. I just seem to have a whole bunch of bad transmission luck.

    small block belt arrangement?

I just finished mine, powersteering belt goes behind the alternator belt. I believe the only time you need a two pulley water pump pulley is if you have AC. and try to snag all your pulleys off of one engine, mixing and matching might not work. thats the only thing about mopars that confuse me...

naw, I was thinking I could like snag it if it was worth alot, because it's vintage, but it's just not worth it.

    hemi

true, I'm guessing pistons are probably seized, but you could still sell the heads and intake and stuff like that. is there a difference between the mopar hemi and the early ford hemi? because they did make one for like a year.

    hemi

I found what appears to be an early hemi in the woods. it's fairly small, but the wires running through the valve covers give it away. my question, is what is it worth? it's really rusted, probably full of water, but it's complete.

    Balancing

both were the same, either cast or forged. and the crank was out of a marine 318 with a flywheel. I didn't notice any weights, but I may be wrong

    Balancing

how big of a deal is the art of balancing. I mixed a crank shaft from a '65 A 318 with a 73 la 318. it was in better condition. it;'s got stock pistons and rods. what do you think

    did I mistake?

haha wow, thanks for the encouragement. yeah, after owning a 67 VW bug, I love the space, and the 4 door aspect is great for all the stupid **** me and my freinds do. we can all hop out at a moments notice to find the beer in the woods, or reword "sale pending signs to say "***** dangle". but...

    did I mistake?

so ok. I've been on this forum for like two weeks. and I find it that everyone is real nice and very helpful. but at the same time I see a huge ammount of money being put into other peoples projects with like 440s amd hemis. I've spent almost a $1000 on my project replacing the six with an 8. a...
