Yep, just unscrew the nipple where the oil filter screws onto and the long bolt with the adaptor screws right in that hole. make sure you have all 3 (I think there three) gaskets for the adaptor.

Check the bearing in the idler pulley. It will make it bounce if it is a little rough. Hard to detect sometime. I'd replace it before I try to change or add more tension. easyrider

My transmission was leaking a lot of oil. I couldn't find where. I replaced the pan gasket twice. Finely discovered the neutral safety switch was cracked and leaking. Tom

My 69 340/4 speed had a high volume oil pump. It would do that under heavy acceleration. I changed back to a stock pump, problem gone.

Looks just like mine. With that manifold on it, I would guess it has later heads. So, how do I ID the heads?

9/16" wrench takes the bolts out. And by the way... that throttle pressure linkage doesn't have a free return slot so it could hold the throttle open. It should go in the garbage. Could you show me a correct one?

OK, here is what I found so far. # on right side of block makes no sense. # on left side of block 2465330 2 # on front of block below left head A 273-6-4 You can see the EGR valve under the carb spring.

It's a stinking 2 barrel. I want a 4 barrel on it. Not so much for performance, but so i can buy the dress-up stuff for it. Chromeing out a 2 barrel is kinda like kissing your sister, just something wrong with that!

My 65 dart has a 273 engine. The guy I bought it from said it was original engine. What I'm trying to figure out is the intake. It's a 2 barrel but has an EGR valve. I don't think that is correct on a 65 273. Any ideas?
