GREEDY! CRAZY eBay prices thread, trim rings $5495, Barracuda window trim $450

I'm guilty of paying a lot for a real nice part that would finish my car, but nothing even close to what's been posted here. But when I see these auctions I can't imagine that anyone is actually buying these parts at these prices. I just assumed it was some kind of insurance scam or something.

I cant see keepen it But

I have one too. It's got new brakes shoes, wheel cylinders, everything is painted and the drums didn't need to be turned since it only has 17,000 miles on it. No one would take it for free.

    Dodge Magnum wagon owners

The Magnum is an awesome ride. It does everything well and carries the kids and all their gear in comfort. Mine is an '08 R/T with a 5.7 and bit of a freak. In stock form has run a best of 13.34 @ 104. Not too bad for a daily driver.

The Mecum Effect...Part of the Problem...or Part of the Solution???

While it's nice that the higher prices have driven manufacturers to make parts for our cars it's not even close to worth it. I would much rather have to scour junkyards and backyards looking for parts to complete a car then be able to put my car together from a catalog and have it worth so much...

Building a Break-in Stand or Swaping in Headers after Break-in?

This one won't run well with manifolds, but even with having to swap them in twice it's still probably more work to build a stand. Well there's always that.

Building a Break-in Stand or Swaping in Headers after Break-in?

Well, I've built a bunch of engines and cars over the years and this would be the first time I ever needed a break-in stand. It's also the first time I've spent that much on headers. Project creep is probably what I am most afraid of in building a stand. It wouldn't take much to build...

Building a Break-in Stand or Swaping in Headers after Break-in?

I think I know the answer to this, but figured it couldn't hurt to get other people's opinion. In the next few weeks I will be assembling my new engine. I also scored a new set of Doug's ceramic coated headers, which I don't want to ruin breaking in the engine. That leaves me two choices: 1)...

So I went to look at a local dart last week...

That car was listed for $2999, reduced from $8900. The guy never got back to me. I have a thing for 68 Darts and would love to have one, but that thing looks like a parts car to me.

78 Dodge Club Cab...what's it worth???

Yeah that was another one! This one is double tough for me since it's half the distance away and it would actually be functional. Every time I see the pics of this thing I think how cool it would be towing my Valiant to the track.

78 Dodge Club Cab...what's it worth???

Unfortunately the distance thing is killing me or I'm sure we could make a deal. If I could get the time off I would come get it, but it'll be the end of January before I could get down there. If it's still around then we should talk.

    Prepping an Engine for Paint

Other than the standard degreaser what should you clean an engine with before painting so it will last? Do you use any primer, wax and grease remover? Any other tips? This car gets driven at least 5K a year and I'd like it to last awhile. Thanks

    Custom Vette

While taste is subjective and he may have talent for smoothing bondo, he's got a terrible eye. The flares are too wide in the front and too narrow in the rear making it look like it was put together from a kit and not well thought out. The diameter of the rear tires is too big for the...
