I have a nice set of used Hyd lifters 1980's or so i need to use on a 68 340 4spd cam is there anywhere in Canada that regrinds used lifters . i may need to send them to the U.S Which is not a problem just more expence .

Does anyone know where I can get a set of these heads I can't find anything on Facebook newer than 2018 can't find a current wed page or are they even available ?

i got this 340 years ago probably 25 or so its casting date is 8 18 68 and the timing tab is on the opposite side . i just noticed it does not have a harmonic balancer as you can see . is this how the early 340's were made ? it also has no vin stamped on it .

I have been reading up on these rings with mixed results there are few that seem to like them and more that claim they are a scam . Grumpy claimed piston rings needed a gap to seal and function properly . what is your experience with them . are they an expensive scam ?

I have an S.F.I. Approved balancer no sure what brand now that has started to rust and tarnish it has been cleaned up fairly good so what would be a good way to keep it that way ? I was thinking a coat or two of clear . Any tips ?

this is something I have always thought about and never really got a straight answer for . if you were going to rering a fresh bore of about 5000 miles that has a moly top ring would you deglaze with a 400 grit ball hone and use the same for a rering or would it be best to use iron rings .street...

i have a steel crank that was ballanced at one time i dont have the rods or pistions that was balanced with it can i use this crank or will it need a reballance and can the mallory be removed and possibly be used in another balance job. thanks jimjim
