Just happened to check your thread after many, many moons. Great progress & great work!!! On starting that motor, can you wait until I arrive from VA in about 6 months? LOL. Best of luck!

Jerry!!!!!! No I can't wait, but when you get here we can act like it never was started, how does that sound? Matt will be here tomorrow, we will start it then! I really am getting old, I used t start them and never gave it a second thought. How are your Cudas coming?
 
Sounds good Stan. Cudas are out of weather but flat tire syndrome seems to be spreading. : )

Well here it is! I bought this car on Febru ary 27 2010. It was a basket case, no engine, transmission, interior, just the rolling shell. I have no idea how long she had been sitting, but today, she roared back to life. And not just a little slant, she sounded great. I few timing adjustments, and it came to life. I can't tell you how good it felt to hear another strong slant come back to life. Here is the video that my son did. It was great to have him here, and my loving Wife who has put up with all this work and time in the garage. Not finished yet, but the end is in sight.

The motor leans the wrong way and all of you signs are backwards. Sounds good though.

Got the master bled and installed today. This picture is for you Berg, are you happy now? And white-night you asked me years ago about clearance from master cylinder to intake manifold, here is a picture of the spacing. This is a drum unit, I think a disk unit would be similar. I think it would fit.

Wow that clearance might be a issue for me. I wanted to put factory power brakes in my wagon... I dont know why I didnt check it when the engine was still in the car. But I guess I will find out when I drop it back in. I do have some options if its too close. I could maybe offset the booster maybe. Here is a top view picture of where it comes to.

Maybe the booster with a single master, but I don't see a dual working. These cars are so small, it has been tough getting to stuff under the hood. That is one reason I built a 170, hood clearance. When I bought the battery I looked at it and said, there is no way that is going to clear the hood, so I came from underneath the car and felt with my hands when I closed the hood. Somehow it fit!
 
Not to change the subject, but the 170 in my 62 Lancer is woreout, I have a good 225 to go back in, surely that 1 1/2 inch height difference will not be a problem!!????
 
No it will fit, but a hyper pak intake will be an issue if you run one. so as long as you stay with an offy, or clifford, or super six, or stock one barrel you should be ok. How did the turn signal turn out for you? I hope it was ok.

Looking at it, maybe a 90 degree fitting turned down might fit. Bit it will be close!

I been busy with wife's work! I got it and thanks. I have not got it on but I did start on the Toad's brakes, ie MC. I lost the 7/16 lock nut for the MC to pedal bolts, but found one at the local Cat junkyard!! We made a 6 hour trip to the Antique Flower/Rose place yesterday!! Don't ask what they costs!

Headed out to California for 3 weeks of work, my last trip for this company. I will be glad to get this portion on my life behind me and be able to make my own decisions on my time. Enough of that, last post for a few weeks. I was under the front end, set the caster and the toe. Finished the torques, cotter pins, zerk fittings, etc. Might be going with a Texas 62 plate for registration, but till then...

Debra is a real cutie pie! How did you manage that? I ask myself that about Kitty everyday. lol Sounds great! Feels good to see it come together after all this time, doesn't it?
