Thank you for the complement. She has been with me since I was 15. She helped me build slants, 340's, 440's and cars in between. Also raised 2 great sons, and has been the rock of our family forever.

It does feel good to be getting finished with is project. She has turned out really good and I hope too make at least a couple of shows this year. Looks like Mini Mopar Nats in Garland Texas will be the first one I can make with it.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along on this long journey. I think a lot of members are not around any more to see it done.

Thank you AAndrews, sometimes I have a problem with detail. I used to build plastic models and I think some of that has rubbed off the other way! I do need to get a muffler on her, and cell phone audio sucks anyway. If you know what a built slant sound like, it is a unique sound. To me it's music, like a Bonneville car around 2 miles, just a great sound.

So near Bristol kinda. I ran my Barracuda at Bristol one time with the slant folks. It is re al nice out there!

Well you tell her I said she's a real keeper then! That's great man. .....and I am still in awe that this project even is still happening after the theft and all. That blew me away. What's more, you FOUND it got it back and are finishing it. If that's not meant to be then I don't know what is!

No they have all kinds of events, it's a nice track. Here is Ronnie Sox and a Duster at Bristol in the early 70's. They took the picture, airbrushed the grill and sold the model. Don Carlton also, notice the background?

Hmm I didn't know that I will have to look into that more when my car is drivable. I'd like to see what it will do in the 1/4 if never ran a 1/4 before. I have a 1/8 about 20 mins from my house tho. Idk if it was open or not when you where in va. You heard of the motor mile? It's a circle track and drag strip all in one. Its owned by shelor.
 
I have heard of the motor mile. My son's spent a few years in Radford, Danville, New River and that area.
 
Been working on the throttle linkage and pedal operation. Here are some pictures of what I have so far. I need a 10-32 die to cut the rod to the carb, ordered it today from Fastenal. Take a look at what I have mocked up, any comments? Any one with factory parts that they can post to help out? I have XNR, Asimmetrica pictures, but that is about it.

Still working on the linkage getting close. But..... Drum Roll Please! I have been looking for around 10 years for this. 770 Trunk Emblem insert. This changes the 170 chrome emblem into a 770 series! I think most of these fell out rolling down the road, never to be found again. I am happy.

Sounds like your back home working on the Lancer.
I was also lucky enough to find a 770 Emblem.When I purchased the Lancer, the seller told me he had a 770 tailgate emblem. Several months later he sold me the emblem.
I was also missing the Lancer hood emblem insert.
I made one out of plexiglass and then had a print shop make me up a vinyl sticker. It turned out pretty good will have to do for now.
Progress is slow on my Lancer. I'm into the wiring and todays project is complete the steering box rebuild and start on repairing the padded dash.

Rusty, Oregon re-grind on my old Sig Erson, Grind 218, 110 Separation, 106 Intake, 114 Exhaust, 440 lift at valve with 1.5 rocker, Duration @ 50 is 226 degrees.
 
Wayne, yes back to working on my wagon. I have finally gone part time at work and I am working on some little details. Insurance is one, doing my homework. I am going on a long southwest, great plains trip next week and won't be back till mid June
I think both emblems look great! You could sell those hood inserts.
 
Carb linkage is finished, haven't run the engine using it, so I won't know till I drive it, but it came together good. Here are some pictures. Also got the arm rests dyed today, put them on tomorrow.

Linkage looks great. I am a little worried what happens when you accelerate and engine moves?
 
Man I caint get over all this car's been through still. All the progress, then it's stolen and miraculously recovered. You've been blessed my friend!

There is a slight bend near the back runner, it should not touch. And this linkage is real close to the factory linkage so it's what they designed. And it's only a slant six. But I will keep a close eye on it.
