On more of the “I don’t know how to do that but I’ll figure it out” projects done. A Summit 14” drop filter, sheet metal, welder and patience creates with a custom offset and bulges make it work perfect with the tall AirGap Edelbrock manifold and factory linkage.
@Johnny Mac and Blueprint tried their best to thwart me in making this Magnum stroker not look like it was bought new like this but I will prevail!

Dennis Gage called me “excessive” the last time we met. Maybe he is correct….. drivers SmittyBuilt seat and adjuster installed with a couple plates and some drilling/tapping. The other side will go much faster now I have a process.

Probably done for the day. Tomorrow the last part that needs to be installed is due in so I’ll fix the backward fan and button up the underside so I can get it off the jackstands.
Seats are in and leveled. Looking like a real vehicle for the first time in probably 30 years. The plates on it were Arizona 1974 issue.

like the "crash pad" on top of the dash. don't remember my van having that, but makes sense.
That was a late model thing. Likely to satisfy some govt regulations.

May as well use a rainy day to do a little something in the house. Door panels done. Just need to slide in the clips (yes I cut the holes FIRST) and pop them on. Not as fancy as a Sportsman but it works well with the simpleness of the interior.

heater hose or trans cooler lines in the pictures above? are you going to put grommets in the holes they pass thru?
Heater hoses. Cant find evidence they ever had grommets there.

Also can’t argue I have 2 of these trucks and both had the original heater hoses run through those holes for 60 years without any indication of wear in the hoses there.
Need to put a star on the calendar! Installed the door panel clips and popped in the custom door panels, installed the carpet and for the first time EVER I sat in an A100 like you are suppose to!!!! This thing actually feels civiliazed.

Where did you find that NOS doghouse lid prop rod?
...it's what we call "Kiwi Ingenuity" .... it is actually a pre-primed scriber for the ends of timber weatherboards and window frames for houses over here. Perfect fit so that it wedges against the roof-mounted stereo box and the doghouse lid. A must have for taking breaks between legs of a journey - lets the heat escape and not just build up underneath.
Another thank-you shout-out to @RAT ROD AL for finding these seats and sending them to me over 4 years ago. Finally re-done and getting some use.
