It was a kid with the 392 Scat Pack Challenger. It had drag radials and some unlocked Hellcat features or something like that. It was my first time at the drag strip with those Nitto 555's and I was building my confidence with them. They work pretty good and I feel I'll get a lot better launches from them in the future..
Next time out I'll be working on my 60ft. Those Nitto Tires are sticky...
Which lane was you?? That's a good race I like those.

Do you like the vr1 oil over Lucas high zinc? I plan on running that Lucas.
Better? I wouldn't say that. Lots of good quality oils that will protect just fine. In fact, in my '74 Duster I run normal oil with ZDDP additive.

your 60 ft time will be the same if you red light or if you sleep a full second on a green light

If you red light you will get to the 60 ft faster than if you sleep for a second at the light. Does not matter if it is the same 60 time.

anything over 1.8 60' sucks. imo

2.2 for you. lol

Talking about two different things. Yes, two cars with the exact dial in time of 12.50, and one sleeps at the light a full second and the other cuts a perfect light, the one with a perfect light will not only get to the 60 ft faster but to the finish faster by a full second. But both cars can still go 12.50 ET with a 1.7 60 ft time. Reaction time is critical to winning races but has NO barring on what the car will run in the 60 ft, 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile.

Yes barring on the 60 ft. RT + 60 ft is the actual time it takes to go 60 ft.

Well, I believe Jaws was going for a E.T., not reaction time. Reaction time only counts in class racing, be it heads up or bracket. When I am testing and tuning, I couldn't give a rip what my reaction time is, I'm trying to get the lowest ET I can and reaction time doesn't change that at all
