A few shots of the dumpster fire 318's 675 heads. Valve guide eliminated for .5" bronze, and cut for 1.94 intake valve .

.
Have you or are you going to flow bench them?
They look pretty but do they flow good?
I think he is flowing them after working them, shooting for 210 cfm with high velocity is what he said.

I can say that I only broke one 203 transfer case, it was in a 340 powered jeep cj-7.
But I did snap the cast iron housing between the trans and transfer case one time in my 77 Ramcharger, 44" tires are somewhat hard on stuff.

Don't you have a whopping motor in one of these older units?

How much will the transfer case take in my '85 Ramcharger? What if I built a 450 hp 440 with 500 ft lbs of torque, raced it in 4 hi ??? I think the '85 has a NP208 aluminum case.....

I guess the winter is getting to me... :D
.
I think the 85 has an aluminum snap like a twig transfer. The 77 would have a 203 which was used behind about everything from a slant 6 to a 440.
41 and rising.

My style is whooping engine in everything I put together.

Current build is a old dumpster 318, “j” heads, twin turbo on no2 just to play with, 4.88 gear, in a old parts car.

yes, I believe aluminum NP208. Snap like a twig??? LOL... Didn't they go aluminum and never look back? Aren't the transfer cases behind the V10's and even Diesels aluminum?? Asking, because I'm not a 4x4 specialist.

And the NP203 has the chain drive? Isn't that the weak link? I thought the NP208 was gear driven? Again, asking.... because I'm too lazy to do a google search... LOL

Personally I like the new process 205. Gear Drive, divorced, tough unit.

Well, this 45 degree two day stretch has allowed enough snow to melt for me to at least see a Duster... LOL. The other one is sitting in storage.... I think... unless it's been stolen :realcrazy:
